Nothing special
Just have them on a shelf

You can also see all my games, some manga, books from the Harry Potter world, books from the Lord of the rings world, my movies on dvd (mostly Asian movies), one of my systems with box (The Virtual Boy)…

Hopefully 54 mini games within 2 years 😀

Seems they removed my comment when I complained they could have shown more games and maybe talk about some homebrew games but I guess that is buzzfeed
Instead of going into detail about things they just make fast quick videos to get daily views

No wonder so many leave buzzfeed

So random thread
still no postings from the winners

Game ideas are not to hard to come up with but to make them is another story

If you really are out of ideas just look at Atari 2600 or Vectrex homebrew games

-Racing (Bycicles, motorbikes, cars, plans, running…)
-Sports (Anything from the olympics summer/winter to American football, soccer, Golf…)
-Casino (blackjack, poker…)
-Boardgames
-Dungeons & Dragons (but using less text and more pictures since its hard to read 0n the VB)
-Platform games
-First person shooting games
-Point and click adventure games
-Turn based games without dice (something like the Gundam VB game)
-Trivia games (Many questions to answer)
-Wario ware (Small games you must beat in under 10 seconds)
-Explore something (Under the sea, hiking the mountains, some lost tribe/city…)

Still watching the progress with excitement to see what game ideas you come up with

Even if none of the 54 games will use the 3D (in and out of the screen) capabilities of the VB it still nice to see and hopefully you will learn loads in the process

Looks good
It is nice you don’t ask for help but actually do it yourself so you can learn for future full games

I wonder what you will do next hehe

Nice to see that someone actually wanted to make one of my ideas hehe but yeah this is a good way to test different genres to see what you are better at making if you want to make full games in the future
Some idea on my mind include:
-Boardgames (snakes and ladders, monopoly, Mario party, bingo, yatzy, tic tac toe, chess, checkers, battleship…)
-Casino (solitaire, poker, blackjack, slot machines…)
-Simulations (driving a car/train/plane, interactive map of the world, walking around a small village, farming, flying like superman, swimming in the ocean, cooking, fixing a car/bike/virtual boy…)
-Applications (drawing program like paint, move around faces like the intro of Mario 64, learn the basics of a language, coloring things only using many shades of red and black, polygon maker…)

Will be cool to see what you come up with 🙂

If I were you I would make a game that has a menu system where you can pick from over 30 mini games of all genres
That way you can practice from shmups, rpg, fighting, racing, fps, sport, boardgame, puzzle game…

Just amazing
Some say the VB sucks but if it had time it would have been even greater just like the ps3 that also didn’t do much year 1

Where can I find the designs of the participated?

Was reading the article and found it funny how they claimed that the GBA was bad because the shoulder buttons were not the best and above all how the screen light was dark as hell yet they didn’t have the Gameboy in the list because it also has bad screen light

As for the VB most of it has already been written in the this forum thread but one thing was at the end of the article when they wrote that they are laughing because Nintendo actually though the VB would make people wait for the N64 and not get a PS1

Overall a horrible article that should have gone more in depth on the different systems and above all made a real top 10 and not add the GBA or claim the VB at number 1

I dont know why but this made me laugh
Reminds me of that other VB homebrew game I cant remember now that had “eat the instruction booklet”

From my understanding its whatever you do to promote the Virtual Boy now when its the anniversary of the VB and all
The VB 3D model and the commercial for example I would not add as “2015 projects” hence why I included my video but anyway L_E_T, don’t forget to post what you did to support our cool friend the VB 😉

I made a video showing off all the VB games + most homebrew since I found no such video on Youtube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nXiKVYbljA

He said he will play the homebrew soon enough so can hardly wait for that

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1P5XOV3Zo4QdBRTyf0cka6wAY1h0Hyw46s9F2Xadw3FU/edit#gid=0

We will see but looks like he will only play Space pinball and Bound high so perhaps I will play all the homebrew in full if he aint 😉

For the best homebrew game on the VB I played to date is by far Channel Sweeper of all games
Small, not to much going on, no 3D modes but just love that game for some reason

Only problem he takes forever to upload new videos

“akumie2: You should play the vb homebrew games
Linkums: I’m considering doing that after I beat all of the officially licensed and released games. Are there any in particular that you can recommend?
akumie2: Keep in mind that some of these are just demos and I am not sure how many of these work on emulator but still a very good list in my opinion for a system that has been dead for over 10 years and was never as popular as it should have been

3D crosswords
Advanced Pasta Cooking Simulator
Blox
Blox 2
Bound High
Castle of Doom
Channel Sweeper
ChuChu Rocket clone
Deathchase
Faceball
Fishbone
Flappy cheep cheep
Gamehero
Gosub
Gosub 3D
Hunter
Mario combat
Mario kart: Virtual cup
Mario VB
Ponginvaders
Simon
Soviet Union 2010
Soviet Union 2011
Snowball wars
Space pinball
Super Bounce
Tic Tac Toe
Tron
VB racing
VUE Snake
Virtual pong
Zpace Racers

I think that is all of them if you dont include a Gameboy emulator with a 3D feature for the VB made in 2014
Could send you a zip file with them all if you ever interested to save you time
The VB is a underrated system by far”
