Well, I guess I better get on with my own finally. Will post pictures when it’s done….soon I hope.

With my minimal knowledge of media materials, I thought I’d share what just came up on Yahoo Japan.

A Mario Clash poster. A lot pricier than I’m willing to spend on a poster, but awesome just the same.

This is a really exciting idea. I might persue this fully and look at creating NA style covers for the JP titles.

if you use batteries instead of an AC tap, the right side holds 10 or so.

My sticker on my case is upside down.

Bigmak is super awesome.

He is the one that walked me through the site during chat conversations. I was an eager learner about everything VB, and his knowledge was great and he would always back up his answer by showing me where I could find it on the site. It didn’t take me long to be familiar with the VB.

He is generally the one on the site at the same times as me, which is a lot. So I always have a friend to chat with.

On top of the awesomeness of having a great friend to chat with, he has helped me countless times with auctions that are US only. Being in Canada isn’t always great when buying from the US.

Five stars! 2 Thumbs! and a cheer for Bigmak

Extreme prejudice.

UncleTusk could create a listing and refer to his website in the description I suppose?

That would be against eBay policy. Can’t promote his own website, have links to his store, or promote offsite sales.

Sweet Eric, I’m down for both versions and then some. You’re my hero 🙂

I’ll use it anyway. I go to eBay whether I use it or not so why not try to help out eh?

Sweet, thanks for the details, now to get a copy for my library.

I had no idea this existed. I go to eBay almost every day and most days multiple times. I think this should be more visible, like on the news page, just have an eBay link.

I think since the collections page goes as far as including Japanese Demo AC adaptor taps, why not include the rare but common-enough Wario and Red Alarm Demo carts (loose only), the 4 Japanese Sample carts, and the Mexican USA-carts with Spanish instructions (instruction sheet and the locale sticker on shrinkwrap being unique)? It would also be cool to add the generation 1 and generation 2 Flashboy carts under the hardware section.

I’m not there yet, but with so little out there and such things known, I think the collectors really look forward to making that check in the box on the collector page.

I love being able to hit check boxes. I agree there should be more.

Well, the directive for me was to only include only officially released, commercial products related to the Virtual Boy. Here and there I stretched the border a bit by including the demo taps for example, but the border had to be set somewhere. If I started to include everything that’s out there, there would be no end. 🙁 So I choose to simply add the “Other” boxes.

I agree with the directive. In fact I think you should dial it back to commercial releases only, lose the demo items.

However, having said that, I think it would be steller to have 2 collection lists “Commercial released items” and “Official Virtual Boy items”. Then on the user page, have the comparative collections be by Commercial, and tie breakers decided by Official. That would give us all a lot of check marks to work with (which I love to do), and also show the scope of Ben’s collection :).

Or as an alternative, perhaps there is a way we could make custom checklists. I have my own spreadsheet I use with a massive list of items I want/have/exist and it would be sweet if instead I could come to this site to do it. Plus then it could be shared.

A Happy New Year it will be!

Happy New Year!

Minestorm, you are truly an amazing technician. I applaud you for being able to do this work.

Hopefully not too many buyers were from Canada. That would make it easier to track down who the guy is.

As a Canadian, I want to apologize for this outrage as well as help put him on a pike.

Would’ve liked to have helped out. Unfortunately I am 7 hours drive away from my nearest VB and Flashboy. After the holidays, I’ll take Eric’s advice and scour the development feeds for things I can test. 🙂

Welcome and Merry Christmas. Happy to have you here. I’m a collector and player myself so I ended up with 2 of everything…..8 systems

The website is an amazing collection of resources, and the community is unbelievable.

For anyone interested in the collector side of things – All 14 US titles sealed (except Mario Tennis which is CIB) For a reasonable price.

SO what about the lost days due to the Mayan calendar not having leap years?
