I quite like the new Bound High label (though I didn’t dislike the other one) 😀

virtualboyfreak’s box art and manual art is cool too

DogP´s Bound High! art is the best so far so why don´t go with that ?

actually, its also the only one so far 😛

don’t get me wrong from what I said before, that logo change thing was only a suggestion! DogP can just use the label thats already made

there is a member of this forum (his username is Hedgetrimmer) who made his own “medallion” for his broken stand but I don’t exactly know how he did that

by the way, did you try taking off the battery pack and then placing it back on the controller? and did you also try unplugging and re-plugging the controller in? (just in case if something is loose for some reason)

the stand is missing the “medallion” (the part that has the Nintendo logo on its front) that holds the stand’s “legs” to the clip and it breaks easily (it cracks) because of its weak plastic design

as for the battery pack, does it look like it has any residue of battery acid/corrosion? if not, the compartment could just be worn or maybe its the controller! (its battery/adapter tap connector, the wire, or maybe even the Virtual Boy’s controller connector!)

even if you got an adapter tap + AC Adapter (and yes, the SNES AC Adapter will work) it MIGHT not work if its a controller or controller connector fault 🙁

theres a seller on ebay (their username is gamesworldbadges) who sells small badges with pictures or logos of game related stuff (for example; the N64 DD logo, Baby Mario and Yoshi, Disk-Kun, etc.) so I asked him if he could make Virtual Boy ones and he said he was going to make new designs soon anyways and he’ll make VB badges! (its not an official Nintendo item but its still a cool thing!)

I did own a sealed copy of Pro Golf for 64DD, but I never got around to getting the console.

like how I have two Famicom games but no actual Famicom! 😉

Best of luck, hope you win it! 🙂

Edit:
US $71.32? *Tsk Tsk* 😡

Awwright, tough guy. How about US $250.00?

eep! Space Invaders Virtual Collection territory! 😮

Virtual Boy & N64dd, 2 of Nintendo’s neglected children

except the Virtual Boy got released in the US and got over 9 games (and its easier to find)

VirtualJockey, you keep mentioning bits and pieces of your collection but have never made a post with an actual list! 😛

I’ve been collecting games, consoles & arcade machines starting in 1987. Unfortunately over the years I have parted with lots of stuff, and I’m not sure what I still own. (I still have storage unit(s) full of stuff)
I’ve owned almost every console under the sun, that’s including goofball systems from all generations and territories.

I mainly focus on cool rarities and oddball consoles, prototypes, and whatever may currently catch my fancy. I don’t really play video games much at all anymore, I just always have and still enjoy them.

did you ever or do you have a N64 DD?

I wish I could have one of those someday (but I’d pick getting Virtual Bowling first! 😉 )

I like DogP’s Bound High label but I personally think it would look more official-like if it had the finalized game logo instead of the prototype one 😉

(thats just a suggestion, really)

i also bidding on this t-shirt lol

but I thought you said the seller doesn’t want to ship to the Netherlands! 😕

But I digress, prices going up is also a fantastic thing since it shows rising public interest in this cool console.

blame me! (and the 3DS, of course) last year I told someone “what articles say about the Virtual Boy is biased and most people don’t even set the IPD dial and Focus bar right! it didn’t give me a headache!” (well, maybe thats not exactly what I typed but still!) and then said person said “maybe I’ll get one then” 😉

(another happening last year was that I asked someone else who said that the VB gave them headaches if they set the IPD dial and Focus bar and they said stuff along the lines of “why would I waste my time doing that?” 🙁 )

this looks like something I’d see in one of my dreams! (not that thats a bad thing)

I can’t wait to see the end result! 😮

VirtualJockey, you keep mentioning bits and pieces of your collection but have never made a post with an actual list! 😛

is there going to be a custom label and box?

I’d want one of these… if I had two donor carts (will it go on as long as someone can send you two donor carts or is it a limited time offer?)

its one of those rad Virtual Boy t-shirts 😎 (I wish there were more VB shirts, even if they were not official Nintendo shirts)

Welcome, VBoy! (its amazing that username wasn’t already taken!)

I can’t help with your power supply question (sorry) but I just wanted to congratulate you on getting a Japanese Virtual Boy! (theres less Japanese units than US units) and its even got its box too which is pretty cool!

I also wanted to inform you that you put the stand on backwards… the pointed ends should be facing away from you 😉

welcome to Planet Virtual Boy’s forums! 😀

most common cases of headaches/eyestrain from the VB are from people who don’t bother to adjust the IPD dial or focus bar, so as long as you adjust those, you should be fine (I adjusted them and I didn’t get a headache) also, it helps if your VB isn’t suffering from the scrambling screen issue (which mine isn’t so I don’t know if one that has those problems can give you soreness)

the true headache you will get is trying to find and win a decent VB on ebay 😛

anyways, I love the VB! (I’m trying all 33 commercially released games for it)
