I’m honored to have an admin of the only site dedicated to Nintendo’s fallen solider interested in my work, sadly all we have done is concept art of the new Sandbag.

I hope to start on the first character, Virtual Kirby tonight.

The idea is that this is a version of Brawl from a future and an alternative universe where the Virtual Boy was so successful it has lasted decades and many add-ons were made. All things not red are considered uncool and lame.

In the mod everyone’s Player 1 costume will be made red, with the exception of Mr. Game And Watch since his textures are NOT possible for me to edit. I will also attempt to cel-shade them so they look a little more, spritey.

In addition, there may be OTHER reprucussions of this, change in the universe. What else could be different?
I won’t say, but the Player 1 skins will be completely red, the others, will have some suprises that may satisfy those curious about Dragon Hopper and Bound High! to some degree. As well as fans of other discontinued franchises.

Too some extent, Professor Hector (from Gyromite), Chevalo, and Dorin The Dragon will be playable. In addition to a few original creations that I think will be well liked.

The stages will be made Virtual Boy themed with some pre-existing VB games finally getting honored on the big screen.

Clash Tower
Pirate’s Treasure Cave
Water World
are three of the stage names

I will start on VB Kirby and a character I will not name tonight, and when I can, I will post pictures, sometime within a week, unless something goes horribly wrong.

If anyone has suggestions for Items, Characters, and Stages please email me at virtualbrawl32@gmail.com

Please keep in mind that I cannot add to the game, I can merely change the current contents, so although new characters can get in, they’ll use the same moveset as a pre-existing character, so please keep that in mind when sending me suggestions.

Also Akumie, this isn’t going to be released on Virtual Boy, too few people would play it. I’m making this so the world knows that I love the Virtual Boy and that it’s a great system worth remebering. Also I don’t even know where to begin programming for the Virtual Boy nor own a Flash Boy, so that’s a big barrier around a VB release of this game ever existing right there. Not meaning to sound rude.

This is embarrasing but I forgot to ask, where on the site is the section where you can buy FlashBoys?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the section, but… even more embarrasing is that I forgot to ask how much these things are and I didn’t see the price listed anywhere.

I’m not going to be able to get one till next month, is that going to be a problem, or will there still be some in stock then?

Dunno, but this looks kickass, soon as the final version comes out I’m going to get started on a Donkey Kong Country game.

Too be honest, I just noticed that no one was really doing much work on the homebrews section of this website and thought that I should rally some of ya up in a team devoted to it, in order to increase the amount of homebrews, but it is nice to see that Nintendo stills honors it.

Now that I think about it, wouldn’t making more homebrews be a way for us to look back at Nintendo and smile, showing we care too? So, because of this, I’ll keep the team thing open if anyone wanted to join in on it and honor VB, but… no pressure, there’s no hurry, the VBs that are with us today will always be special in our hearts, no matter how poorly it sold. *huggles his VB*

I’m also a Mother fan, Nintendo will NEVER be willing to acknowledge anything more that at one point there was a sysem called Virtual Boy.
Nintendo will never admit that there is a strong Earthbound fanbase and they won’t do the same for Virtual Boy.

But it’s not about getting them to admit they were wrong about something or that people did love their project. It’s about proving to them that people care, Nintendo sure as hell is too ashamed to admit it, but NOA wishes they COULD bring Mother 3 over to America.

The point is showing that WE CARE about Virtual Boy. I know people aren’t willing to code for me, but that’s not what I’m asking, I know there are a few engines that already exist we can work with. I’m saying, we prove to the world that we’re not mourning over the one year VB run, but that we celebrate the awesomeness that is Virtual Boy, by refusing to let it die.

Now WHOSE WITH ME!?!?!

I full-heartingly agree with my comrades, being able to buy Blox would be a marvelous step to the future. I mean the idea of a brand new VB game on an actaul VB cartridge for sale could fund the site and people’s pockets. It’d be big news in the gaming world, and would help start the begining of a grand Virtual Revival with the inspiration to make more games. Can you see it? I do, in my mind I can see big colorful banners “Blox Add To Shopping Cart” along with other games like “Virtual Puyo Pop” and “Soda Warrior:A Cola War Conquest”

Feel free to use the latter for any game ideas, however selling the “Virtual Puyo Pop” would probably lead to legal troubles with Sega, but I’m getting to ahead of myself here.

PS: I’d buy Blox if not for any reason other than it’s the first VB game made in over 8 years. Plus… Tetris 3D and Panic Bomber are hard to find for my puzzle fix
