I’ve now implemented an option to turn the new PM notifcations on or off. It can be found under http://www.planetvb.com/modules/profile/edituser.php.
Please report any problems with the new feature. 🙂
It’s not a PVB issue. It’s the 3DS, which sends only the automatically generated preview JPGs, instead of the actual stereoscopic MPO file.
I tried copying both the JPG and MPO to my computer and attaching them from there. Unfortunately, I can’t open the MPO from the 3DS.
Hopefully I can figure it out, because it would be great if we could exchange stereo images on here and especially Planet 3DS. Plus it would be great to be able to show 3D screenshots on Planet 3DS if viewed on a 3DS, via the MPO format.

Already 6:30 on the 7th here, no update yet…
More items sold, list updated.
Updated the list and marked sold items.
I skipped an appointment this evening and got around to update the list with prices. Original post updated. 🙂

You do international shipping?
Yes!

I wait the price list.
I might not get around to that too soon. You can also send me a list of the stuff you want and I’ll make you a cheaper price for the whole package. 🙂
Don’t worry, I will keep one Virtual Boy plus my FlashBoys and I will definitely continue running this site as long as I can. Not loosing interest, just can’t afford dozens of big boxes sitting in my closet, collecting dust. Some might call my tiny current apartment a mousehole. 😉
I would first like to give people on PVB the chance to pick stuff from it for their collections, and it would be great if the rare stuff would remain inside the community. Eventually, I will probably put the remaining stuff on ebay.
@colesonwilson: It’s very hard to give values for both items, so the price is “highest offer”. 😉 This applies especially to the VUE-Debugger, which is a rare version 1 prototype unit. It has a PS/2 controller port as on the Shoshinkai units and no link port. It’s the only prototype debugger I have ever seen. The less rare Video Boy that was on ebay last year I think had a five figure price tag, so this could give a vague idea of the Debugger’s value. 😯
@Fwirt: I also think that the VB is of not enough interest to them. Although a museum would be a good place for at least the debugger.
Yep, still got carts!
A little update to the offer: replacement boxes for the original FlashBoy are now available as well. They come with a quick reference card and a replacement cart sticker. Images and more details can be found in the first post.
@DisizDream: I used a german online print service, so probably none of interest for you. I can tell you which paper I chose, though. It was 300 g/m² Ensogloss, hope that helps.
Thanks mate! I am glad it arrived well. 🙂

I got my FB+ box in the mail. It was extremely well packaged, carefully wrapped in newspaper and secured inside of a box. The FB+ box is professionally designed and built from quality materials. If you were to buy a FB+ from a store this is the box you would expect to get with it. The box is complete with information, a UPC code, images, bright glossy colors, and a tray to hold the donor cart. Anyone who get a FB+ and wants the full experience should order the box.I paid KR155E directly using Paypal and he shipped out the box a few days later. He is 100% trustworthy (though most of you probably know that), and you should have no worries about paying using Paypal.
Thanks again KR155E, my FB+ is now complete! =)
Hold the drum roll! Votes are counted and the winner is…

Explanation about the scoring: every judge submitted a scoring table, 7 points were given for first place, 1 for the last. Scores were then simply summed up. Here’s the full table:

2) 18 (5+6+7) Protoman85
3) 17 (7+5+5) HorvatM

5) 10 (3+4+3) bahooney
6) 5 (2+1+2) StealthNinjaScyther
6) 5 (1+2+2) akumie
I wanna say thank you to everybody who participated and for your submissions! Also to HonkeyKong and gunpeiyokoifan, whose submissions count unfortunately not be counted in due to missing ratings. And, of course, thank you to Virtual Jockey for holding this nice contest! 🙂

I thought of scanning a VB reference (it was a mini-quiz) I saw in last month’s Nintendo Power, but would that count? its not an old issue… 😕
Sure! 🙂
Just talked to RPack and we decided to not let the contest end before Sunday, so new entries are still possible until Saturday and HonkeyKong gets a chance to submit the missing ratings. 😉 Is this alright, VJockey?
Here’s an overview of the entries until now:
StealthNinjaScyther – VB Wario Land High Score
(HonkeyKong – Forza 3 PVB skin)
jzagal – Yokoi Returns scans
bahooney – VB Review
KoNeKo – VB Wario Land Review
HorvatM – MUSPCS
Protoman85 – V. Bowling vs. NFB review
akumie – BLOX 2 review
Oh, I thought you could not see 3D at all. Great to hear that it’s working for you on 3DS! 🙂
And yes, Mednafen 3DS port FTW! 😉
Good idea! The 3D effect does not work so nicely for me, though. On the third screen, the fists of your own robot look irritating. Is it just me?
Which program did you use to create the MPO files? We should be able to create such files for many other games from the 3D screenshots we got on the game pages. 🙂
@jzagal: Cool, thanks! http://www.planetvb.com/modules/articles/?s100246001
@bohooney: Nice! I added the review here: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/hardware/?type=vb&sec=reviews&show=77&rev=reader
@KoNeKo: Cool review! You’re in. It’s up here: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/games/?r018rr076
@VirtualJockey: I think we could draw the winner now, what do you think? 🙂
