the first half of units had home printed stickers over vl baseball boxes, while the last half had boxes printed directly on cardboard by a copy shop. those new ones had much better colors but the corners did not looks perfect, because they broke a bit from the folding. this box looks like an older one to me, but i could also be mistaken.

different chips were used for older and newer carts, because the old chips ones were no longer available at one point. there’s different revisions of the flashboy, and there’s different loader versions which only work with one version of the flashboy.

vbfreak’s right. you can find all the apps and the manual for download here (follow the links in the bottom right):

looks like you have an older unit, so make sure to use loader version 20071209.

Ok, thanks for letting me know.

For everyone else: I expect the next batch to be ready in about 2 weeks. It will include new, revamped boxes. More when those arrive next week.

oh, right! thanks! i got high res scans of those images in the meantime, they can be found here, new:

Alright, I will email you guys.

I have heard about that article, but did not yet read it. Do you have a chance to scan it in, diisco?

You can send it here: http://www.vr32.de/modules/liaise/index.php?form_id=2 🙂

There’s actually a lot of other stuff which need to be translated. How about those for example, is the resolution high enough to read the text?

is that supposed to be funny, akumie?

Yep, I needed to make a list, due to the many requests I got. You’re on it now and I’ll let you know when I have a FlashBoy for you. 🙂

thanks must go to dasi, he suggested it to me yesterday. 🙂

And the list grows. 😀

Cool, Spindick. It’d be great if you could translate the whole article with every little bit of japanese text.

Yes… it is. 😀

Sure, I’ll email you when Batch 6 is out in a few weeks.

WOW, this is cool! So could it be used with a wiimote? :O
A mouse would of course be a cool start, for some kind of 3D Pong for example.
Or how about a Racing Wheel, Fishing Controller, or… Steel Battalion VB? 😀

OK, I’ll email you guys!

What DogP said. Thread moved roflmao.

I got a complete, mint Performance AD Adaptor for sale on the marketplace, but this is rather aiming for collectors.
You could also try this: http://www.vr32.de/modules/workshop/?01

I changed the content file structure in the meantime, so the links no longer work(ed). Here’s the demo:

Rare? The box over 600.000 US VBs came in? Only if it said “Virutal Boy” on it, or “Mario Clash Game Pak inside”. 😛

Yep, indeed! Altough I think that we should drop the GIAD idea and rather finish those mini games instead of rushing them out. Like I did with VUE Snake. The game would be much less interesting if it was only half finished, without the Highscore list for example.

BTW, I hope you’re still going to finish Mario Kart. 🙂
