Congrats DanB so nice to know that this kit is in the hands of a PVB programmer…
Also on another note is there any way to know the other bidders and contact them? I was talking w/ another PVB member and he said they are probably collectors themselves and probably programmers no tellin what they already possess in their collection!
Seriously sweet Retro! keep up the nice work! My six year old son saw your work and said “I wish they made a Virtual Kid it would be blue and black”. so your work is inspiring us all.;-)
Nintendo’s view of the Rift doesn’t surprise me all that much. Nintendo has always been about family not the bottom dollar like the other guys. I’m proud of Nintendo for taking this direction.
Let’s not forget Bound High, it’s easily the best game for the system. Oh and you might want to pick up a flashboy too for all of your homebrew needs, and to play all of the games ever released to boot ;-):vb:

I’ve thought about this several times and I feel that Nintendo failed on 2 accounts that’s why the Virtual Boy was such a flop. Nintendo really had a chance to change gaming forever and they failed.
First I feel that Nintendo should of packed a VCR tape in w/ the Virtual Boy. It would have previews of games to come but have breaks in the middle showing how to properly align the system.
Second software support the system should of had a packed in Metroid game.
Nintendo was too selfish and they wanted all profit and no effort and now the Virtual Boy is a by word in gaming history
I have added him and am awaiting his return invite so that i may message him on the subject.
Just in case this doesn’t go w/o saying. If I were you Id become better friends w him before asking. You may get a lot further if he doesn’t see the question coming. And after all you might make a good friend.
I remember this guy from the Donkey Kong Country Video. Equally as fun. I think they were really going for what it could be like not what it was like. I would of been more impressed w/ real game footage.
