If I could only sell that as an ice-cream flavor…Move aside Ben & Jerry’s!I hope it wouldn’t be made out of real VB visor or something like that… Virtual Boys are endangered! (by scramble-screen and careless people) SAVE THE VIRTUAL BOYS! 😯
Hey now, I’m not one of the people that bake their VBs in the oven!….I broil mine with a nice marinade sauce. :-p
I bought the case from eBay, I paid $149.99 for the case only without the console FWIW. The seller relisted the case as a BIN after multiple offers. Not sure of the value, but I really wanted the generic TravelMaster Non-Blockbuster rental case in my collection.

Maybe in a year or so, we’ll get more 3DS games that work more smoothly in 3D…
Things work fairly smooth now, I just think that Devs need to take more time optimizing. The 3DS is a fairly powerful little system, so I’m not especially worried. The game that gave me the most trouble, BlazBlue, was clearly just a rush job.
I tested the 4 games that I own, FPS issues noted below. I tested all moving fast, moving slow, standing still, having the camera rotate, and anything else I found relevant including different backgrounds.
Bust-A-Move Universe:
No difference at all. Zero FPS drop with 3D enabled. Pretty simple game, glad 3DS masters this one with ease.
Dead or Alive Dimensions:
Gameplay FPS seems pretty solid to me with 3D On, character sprites act normally, some backgrounds effects are more fluid at a *standstill* with 3D off (rivers/waterfalls/etc).
Street Fighter IV 3D Edition:
Gameplay seems pretty solid, no noticeable lag to character movement, backgrounds seem solid, however *all realtime* sequences seem to lag with 3D on.
BlazBlue Continuum Shift II:
Backgrounds lag heavily at all times, sprites lag during fast movement (Sprinting, jumping, etc). Turning 3D off completely makes this game virtually on par with the PSP version. I think this game was too rushed, and was maybe a PSP port with little 3DS planning.

VB flavored color schemewhat exactly does the VB taste like…? 😛
Awesome and Good. You know that smell when you open a brand new game or console?

Darn, I may actually sell my Cosmo Black 3DS at a loss for the pleasure of owning the VB flavored color scheme!
Lets hope it launches with StarFox internationally as well, a bundle would be fantastic!
Seems to be a cool week for fliers. 😮
Wish we had the great Yen exchange rate that was going in in March/April. Of course, that was surely due to the height of the horrible and devastating state Japan has been in from the Tsunami.

I have not downloaded all trailers, maybe the UK not getting same stuff as US, i noticed you had a 3D vid of animal crossing, did N send that to you in the update, or did you download from somewhere cos i can only see Zelda OOT as a 3D trailer in the eShop.
I saw someone post on another site that they were viewing MGS snake eater trailer in 3D, could be BS but if not i want to see these too.
I have trailers of Zelda OOT, Super Mario, Luigi’s Mansion 2, Kid Icarus Uprising, Mario Kart, MGS Snake Eater 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, Star Fox 64 3D, Paper Mario & Animal Crossing. I downloaded them all from the eShop on June 7th. *If* US exclusive, It’s probably because everything is using American ESRB ratings?
The 3DS browser is very impressive. It’s not slow, great navigation with the thumbpad, quick link browsing with the d-pad, fast & convenient zoom in/out with the X/Y buttons, Stereoscopic image viewing, download & upload capability, easy typing with the stylus, etc.
I’ve never been a huge fan of console browsers, but this one gets a thumbs up from me. If it had flash support, this would be an absolute beast.
Anybody here with a 3DS download all the game trailers? The Line-up looks promising, so as long as Nintendo can get *most* those titles out by Holiday 2011 I think the 3DS will stay afloat. Whilst Vita may be graphically impressive with an awesome OLED screen, the vast majority of gamers purchased the 3DS for Stereoscopic gaming.
Vita vs 3DS? Apples vs Oranges.

I hope one day someone can produce homebrew PCBs with the pin-out (pin-in) intact.
Not sure what you mean ?
I thought that no company made the PCBs with the pinout, and you needed to sacrifice a cart for the part. Was I mistaken?

Updated this morning, not too slow, i just set it going while i showered, was done when i checked 10 min later, then downloaded Exitebike, no problems in UK.
Quite a neat little 3D’izing of an old game.Gonna get to the wifi spot at work during lunch and download the trailers and all other free content i see.
Personally, I’d rather have a 3DS than Gundam any day, but then I’m not a collector and can play Gundam on flashboy so not really a fair comment.
You can download Excitebike until July 7th for free, not just 6th & 7th June.
I hope it works for you VJ, don’t send it back, besides i need 3DS friends who are also VB fans, one day we’ll play across the oceans, cue dreamy sequence in soft focus, I’m losing it here today, stop typing. 😕
Last night I had a tad too much juice of the barley, just ignore all my posts in this thread. 😡
Still waiting for this BS. If Nintendo needs a bulk of returns they *may* need to count me in. I bought a warranty, prepared for BS this time. Tomorrow I will either have excite bike or return this crap and buy a VB Gundam on ebay. Nintendo’s choice, not mine.
I’ve had the firmware now for over 30 mins. total fail. Nintendo needs to come through…
Don;t need the same fail-canned answers as when the 64DD and GameCube failed.
I try to DL free excite bike, Nintendo is acting unfair.

Nintendo eShop is currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later.
Screw it, I’ll get my money back for my warranty and buy an SD Gundam cart for VB. Nintendo needs to get with the times and honor their word.
Here now, Killer!
Heck yeah! 🙂
very very slow update, for the first time please keep your power cable pluged in. 😉
7:05PM PST, maybe Nintendo fooled us on this official June 6th announcement for the US and will release it June 7th worldwide?
