As for the Campaigns, it seems that this coupon is mentioned on most of the Must See 3-D sweepstakes ads (and is even shown in the commercial) so I’d just add the coupon pics to that section.

Some person probably took the sticker off your box when it was on store shelves thinking that they could use the coupon without the form and just wanted some cheap batteries.

As for the blockbuster sticker, I’ll post a pic of it later (I’m in the middle of some Spring…erm Summer-cleaning and I misplaced my camera somewhere in the clutter 😉 )

While painfully frustrating, I should thank my lucky stars that this last problem screw is the most shallow one.

Whomever opened this VB before me must have really overtightened the screws or used the incorrect tool for the job to strip them so badly. Instead of getting too impatient and damaging the unit in a rush, I’m taking a breather for a day or two so I can tackle the endeavor with a clear mind, a solid plan and a steady hand. The epoxy trick is a no-go, the screw will need to be drilled for a Flathead screwdriver or will need to be removed with a small extractor bit. I will go for the Flathead method first, if I can. Possibly insert a large washer in the hole so *when* the drill slips I will not crack the plastic between the screw and the frame.

If all is successful, and I pray it is, I will have to get some rubbing compound and polish out the scratches I’ve caused in said screw hole. It’s incredibly hard to be gentle when trying to drill on a slippery rounded metal surface with little work area.

I really think companies need to eliminate this entire security screw fiasco and just adhere a “Warranty void if tampered with” sticker instead.

It’s a coupon on the box. When you peel off the green $1-Off Duracell coupon, the white bottom portion remains. (Similar to manufacturers coupons you commonly see on groceries)

As far as Nintendo developed titles, the original Super Mario Bros was a very good title and both Super Mario 3 & Super Mario World are amazing. As for Favorite Nintendo developed *franchise* I’d have to go with the Metroid series (Seriously, where do y’all think Capcom’s Rockman/MegaMan idea came from?). For innovation, I’d place my chips on StarFox (FX chip on SNES, Rumble Pack on N64). The original Legend of Zelda made RPGs fun for non-RPG fans, but I’d still consider that release as a top-view action game at heart. The first fun true RPG was Mother 1/Earthbound Zero IMO. The old Dragon Quest games were HORRIBLE, no clue why the series survived and became famous (The first Dragon Quest games were like Zelda II… minus the little fun Z-II offered in dungeon action areas).

Thanks R-pack & DogP. I currently have a small fillips head screwdriver slowly drying in metal epoxy in the small hole I srilled (I have no doubt it will fail as usual). If I have no luck finding a tiny extractor bit, I will attempt to drill another hole for a flathead screwdriver.

It’s very difficult to drill or dremel without slippage. I figure I can buff out minor scratches (which I’ve most definitely already sustained in the screw hole), but I just fear major damage. I’ll get the job done one way or another, just my luck that the most shallow screw on the console would end up being the most troublesome.

Holy moly, can’t get the shallow screw out. It’s completely rounded.

I’ve tried super glue, epoxy, and even dremeled down a small set of needle nose pliers that simply can’t grip enough to loosen it even after soaking a drop of penetrating oil on the screw.

So far I’ve drilled a small hole in the screw, going to look for a reverse threaded extractor bit tomorrow. Seriously, such a nightmare.

I’ve only beat the normal game with the secret Sturgeon area. I’ll have to pick this game back up and see how many I can get in my book.

Not that I know of. My US display console has a serial of VN10001679[6] (Unit# 1679) and has a bar code.

All Japanese consoles have no bar codes.

If you have the VB that came with the stand from Big N than it is prob worth at lest trying to fix it. If some one already switched the display VB out for a consumer VB than just switch them.

Display consoles have low serial numbers and the eye visor mounting plate is screwed on so people couldn’t remove it.

Ok, got the deep screw out, crazy glue did the trick…but just barely enough to get it loose. The shallow screw is crazy stripped, but I’m sure I can get that one out easy.

For those that also have stripped screw probs, I’d probably go the epoxy route. :thumpup:

So KR155E, I figure I’ll scan in the articles to you at 450DPI. I also have a vertical force Title Card, let me know if you want 300 or 450DPI on that. As for the large 18″x18″ Nester’s Funky Bowling box, please let me know about what res and ISO you’d like the photos taken at. I’ll be out of town for a solid week driving 18+ hours each way and moving my storaged goodies from one state to another, hopefully I’ll come across more VB Stuff worth mentioning.
