Here’s the full transcript of messages between myself and the buyer since the first contact about a problem. Just trying to figure out what I did wrong to deserve bad feedback?

I hope this issue can get resolved for you. I see you’re pretty new to VB and not so familiar with the common glitchy eyepiece console problem. I have 6 VB consoles handy, and a few of them exhibit the same glitchy eyepiece ribbon cable issue. This can be fixed.

You only have so much that you can say in your feedback responses. The buyer’s been on eBay since 2009, and I feel that neutral is a tad malicious. Generally I only leave neutral if I REALLY want to leave negative feedback, but find the situation a bit irrational warrant such. It really sucks that the game has glitchy lines for the guy, but in all honesty what can I offer besides a refund? I can’t figure any other reason that the buyer would neg me unless he still believes his console is immortal to glitchy lines and that my cart is bad. Lets say that was the case, which all seasoned VB folks know it isn’t, I still offered the refund?

Guess you can’t make everyone happy all of the time. If He buys another copy of Insmouse, this specific console will react the same. He also bought another console lot recently, I figured he would test Insmouse on it and be happy.

Well, I spoke with the buyer and he seemed cool and I got the impression that he understood it was his console. Unfortunately, I just noticed that he left me Neutral Feedback yesterday? It’s really unfortunate, I offered a full refund if he wanted? I’d rather have my working game back and have untarnished eBay feedback. 🙁

Thanks man. That’s what I thought, but I didn’t want to make any false statements to the buyer if I was possibly incorrect. Sounds like he’s really getting into VB, so I hope he joins the community and has fun with the hobby.

I was on the phone for 3 hours. Maybe I was targeted, but eBay insisted for the entire long 3 hours that it was my fault for selling Virtual items. Ebay support is simply arse, and they would at no point accept fault but simply stated over and over that all virtual boy listings were being investigated. As usual, seems no truth to the words spewed out of the mouths of the uneducated degenerates that eBay hires to manage important financial decisions for the peoples lives that are the lifeblood of this sad excuse of a private seller funded institution.

@ colesonwilson: It was so absolutely ridiculous, I requested that eBay keep recordings of the conversation so I could contact a supervisor in the future since none could care to take my call. You are more than welcome to PM me for my username to investigate further. I am glad to see that someone added a fake category listing for Japanese VB games with inaccurate info and UPC, but that shouldn’t have to be the case to sell legitimate items that they’ve been profiting on for years.

It’s really been driving me nuts, this eBay seller “Yamatoku” keeps selling AC Adapter taps while showing a pic of a demo tap. He lists them over and over, and has been contacted about it multiple times. A new one just popped up, and at this point I’m just going to label them as a scammer simply trying to take advantage of VB collectors. Be aware, be safe, and report them if you feel it’s worth your time.
I bought one from the seller, he reassured me I was getting the exact item pictured. It was only *after* my emails explaining that it was a rare version that he started pretty much exclusively listing his tap auctions with a demo picture shown. Power seller or not, this person is a scumbag trying to inflate prices for ordinary regular taps and he knows it.

Even though I’ve been a member there for more than a year, Planet 3DS is a horrible idea and does not exist. 😀 😉

You can still list the games, will just get an email saying you will get a policy violation if you don’t cancel. However, multiple policy violations in a short time is a quick ticket to getting banned on eBay. 🙁

Non Category items such as Virtual Lab, Space invaders and Virtual bowling will definitely be flagged (The UPC code lists the item as a GPS device!). I am not a fan of this new catalog system, it only hinders rare game sales.

@VJ: there are still well over 400 items on US eBay, currently only 80 of which are auctions. Perhaps you were just targeted? Did they provide more information, a reason, or an explanation yet?

Perhaps I was targeted, I noticed new VB listings as well. However, all the things ebay told me about not being able to list VB games with the word “Virtual” in the title is 100% truthfully what eBay told me. I was on the phone with ebay for quite a few hours trying to explain Virtual Boy to them, and there was no resolve. One thing’s for certain, they told me that they’d strike me with policy violations if I relisted my Virtual Boy games. 🙁

100% positive feedback and all 5 star DSR ratings, this is how they treat loyal sellers that have been with them for nearly a decade. If Virtual Boy games continue being listed that’s fantastic, however I feel that eBay needs to man up and clear up this new negative situation once and for all.

I wouldn’t go that far, DH was a 2nd party game to be published by the big N themselves and looked like a fantastic Zelda-inspired game. I still don’t understand why DH never had a release, even if they were giving up on VB, it would have pushed the sales of the close-out consoles.

Dragon Hopper was a VB exclusive and scheduled at a late release date, much like KI Uprising is on 3DS, which is why I compared the two HUGE titles.

Well, if 3DS isn’t in a downward spiral, good for Big N. I’m more of a fan of VB than 3DS, so won’t shed too many tears if the outcome is gloomy.

If the Ambassador program is an apology…(Do Nintendo kids even know what an “Ambassador” is?), I guess there is nothing we can do but be thankful. I do see a list of good games, which I guess is a plus, but I’m not a fan of roms or “roms purchased officially”. I see Metroid Fusion is one of the downloads, wish it was remade in stereo 3D and I’d be happy there.

If this program means that 3DS isn’t a failure in Nintendo’s eyes, which I still doubt, I *guess* I should pretend to be thankful for the peace offering. To me, roms are lame and free and it doesn’t mean $80 or jack to me.

I’ve now beat Zelda, so 3DS needs some titles to make it worth it. Not some price drop, not some free roms that are free anyway, but some darn games. Before you give up Nintendo, I’d like Dragon Hopper/Kid Icarus Uprising.

If they’re already free… and the “free” games are not revamped in 3D for 3DS, I’d like my $80 back. I already own the games offered in the “ambassador” free ROM program in original & official monetarily valuable physical form.

I look forward to playing MasterQuest, because I FEAR it will be the last thing I will do/enjoy on this thing.

A side note to others, Giant AR cards are now available on Club Nintendo. You can print up useable ones yourselves, but still a cool item to own.

I was wrong, there is a 4th big battery for 3DS. Not sure if the Hyperkin and Nyko companies are different, but here’s a pic of the Nyko 3DS power Pak which is also 2600mAh? Seems like a permanent install with screws just like the others, unlike the Hyperkin. I previously had read about the “Nyko Hyperkin battery”, thus my confusion between the two batteries.

I just won this case, what do you all think about that sticker? Crazy, seems like having the 4 VB corners perfect would be too much of an effort for an amateur job just trying to make $99, not to mention an amateur could gluestick any label properly in 2 minutes.
