I am constantly reminded of just how much of a VB fanboy I am, every time I read people’s ignorant criticisms of the Virtual Boy.
Haha, I hear you. I guess I’m not really a fanboy, since I like lots of different old consoles, but I really don’t know why the Virtual Boy gets so much crap.
This article doesn’t exactly put the system in a good light, lol. I don’t understand his gripes for any of the games. Its easy to hit the ball in tennis, red alarm is easy to see what’s what, and what the heck is so shaky about teleroboxer? The last one really doesn’t make any sense..
The top picture is kind of cool though.
True that, Eric.
I like how there’s a full set of cursive characters in there.

Well, these tabs must either fall off easily over time or else people like to remove them, because my entire North American VB game collection is of sealed games, and none of them have their original hang tabs, save for the extra copies of Virtual League Baseball in the 6-piece box.
That is odd.. What are the chances. I guess it does kind of block the view of the box slightly, so I guess I could see people wanting to remove them.
Haha, well put. It does look nice next to the Virtual Boy. I’ve been looking for a good portable stereo speaker, I’ll definitely consider this one.
It is a cool color. Have you used the speaker for other purposes? Would you recommend it for music/video use? I’ve had good luck with Sony speakers in the past, so this one’s intriguing.
Honestly, I have never used the audio jack on my VBs. I find the built in speakers positioned the way they are make for a pretty awesome experience. I like the generous amplification too, nothing like the skimpy Gameboy speakers. I can see how earphones would be ideal, though. I’ll have to give it a try.
That Sony speaker does look great for something like my laptop though…
US games were definitely sealed, both mine have the same tabs.

South Park literally started out made of construction paper.
People preferred my stick men comics to the ones where I actually flesh it out. It could be my crappy drawing skills, or maybe it was easier for me to inject personality into the simpler drawings.
Or maybe sometimes simplicity can tell a story better than complexity.

Depending on where you live you can contact Runnerpack(North America) or Theforce81(Europe) to repair it for you.
I don’t care if it takes years, I don’t want to spoil the surprise!
I like the chiptunes you’ve linked, just enough to get a little taste of the vibe you’re going for.
That sounds like a VERY interesting idea, Guy. I like the departure of the standard good vs evil plot, and what you’re putting in it’s place sounds very refreshing. I like the general attitude the game would have. And the 2 player aspect? If that actually came to be, mind = blown.
Welcome! Even if you technically joined before me =P
Pretty sure L_E_T was getting at the way you posted it, not what you posted. You’re supposed to create a dedicated thread for your video or whatever and link to that thread, rather than link directly to the video in this thread.
What about a $50 digital download option? Then make a CIB option at like $200-$250. There’s also the option of limiting the amount of CIB tiers. Limited numbers really bring in more interest.
Why is it that Reggie just can’t put the stand on the right way? Might be easier to play if his hands weren’t cramped up in front of everything.
Still a neat video though.
Because a tap acts like a click, so it’s probably taking you to your profile then. You need to be able to hover over it, without clicking to get the drop down.
Use a computer.
Just looked, yep, it looks like on the back of the manual they put a sticker with the serial number near the bottom right.
Above it there looks to be a stamp of the retailer who sold it (complete with phone number…hmmm..*picks up phone*)
There’s also a date written in pen, I’m assuming the date it was sold to the customer? I can’t imagine it would be the date the retailer purchased it. I think they filled mine in wrong, there’s a 7 in the spot for the year, and an 8 in the spot for the month, day is blank. I’m assuming it was supposed to be Aug 7th.
It looks like all this would have happened at the time of purchase. Customer buys unit, dealer opens box, stamps manual with their store info, writes in the date, and peels a sticker off the box/piece of paper inside box. All this would be for warranty purposes.
