I’m not sure what to make of this one

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Space-Invaders-Virtual-Collection-Watch-Nintendo-Virtual-Boy-Japan-NEW-/331609734163?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d357afc13

It’s cool that the game is of brand new quality, and the watch looks like the VB space invaders, but the watch says 2004 on the back, so it can’t be to do with the game. Coincidence I guess? Either way, too much money.

Last one I played was Inmouse no Yakata. Apparently when I played it on my flashboy I didn’t give it much of a chance. Now that I have the physical version I kind of ‘forced’ myself to play it more, and actually, it’s a really neat game. It controls quite well once I got used to it, and the survival aspect is actually pretty thrilling! Also I like all the different paths you can take for the different endings. Definitely more fun than I originally gave it credit for.

Oh crap I missed it! Gonna have to wish my Japanese VB’s a happy belated birthday by having a good play sesh tonight.

Lmao, I love how the eBay dude just ripped the picture off Uncle Tusks site.

Hey, it does look good!

I agree. I have a backup should the link actually go down.

I just tried it, works fine.

Ouch, look at those prices.

I was wondering too, I noticed he doesn’t have any CIB games on his website anymore, just boxes and manuals. I shouldn’t have held off on those NES games!

Yeah, I really don’t remember there being a language barrier in this game. I’d say go for whatever you can get for cheaper, I really don’t mind the oddball Japanese box size. I kind of like how it’s different actually.

Oh yeah, I should have posted the pics =P

I managed to snag a very good condition copy of Insmouse for $85 US shipped.

If you’re interested it’s a good time to buy this game on ebay 😉

It’s not fair to share or speculate who contacted the people in the “in crowd” and to ask why you weren’t chosen. We don’t need one of our members singled out. There were a limited number available and unfortunately not everyone could get a copy. There wasn’t a specific criteria, if you knew the right people you were lucky, that’s it.

There was not an option to get more than two, and I’d like to think that the only people who got two actually intend to use the 2 player feature rather than sell the second one for profit. I only opted for one because I don’t have friends interested in this sort of thing.

The situation isn’t ideal, but it is how it is. If none of this ever happened, there also wouldn’t be a Hyper Fighting demo available to everyone. The Virtual Boy has benefited from this, that’s all that matters.

Welcome to the site!

I guess it is better here than eBay, and it does give another vb fan a chance to own this game. I just thought I remember someone saying they didn’t want to see them for sale.

Yeah, this isn’t cool. People specifically didn’t want us to resell these.

I would love to make that my avatar, but im to dumb to figure out how to size it to make it fit. I’ll figure it out sooner or later though.

This one should work if you’d like.

I’m so in when this is available. I guess I’d have to buy a second flashboy then as well =P

Cool, Happy belated Birthday Dude!

Thanks, picture him walking down the street holding a Blockbuster rental case 🙂

Heheh, likewise!

Haha, that is an awesome idea. Looks like you have a nice collection.

Hey, nice, I was born on a June 15th as well. Only in 1987.

I honestly don’t even remember the Virtual Boy in 1995, all I remember is Super Nintendo. Then again, I didn’t get Nintendo Power, and didn’t get to go to the stores much. I don’t remember seeing a single commercial for it. The first I heard of it was in like 2000 or something when my brothers friend wanted to trade my n64 for it. Since I had only recently got that I said no, but I did get to use it for like a week, with Red Alarm and Golf. I really enjoyed Red Alarm, like, really enjoyed it. It was that nostalgic moment that made me get back into the system.

Cool picture =P
