Anyone feel like getting psyched up?

Mission accomplished =P

Thanks Roli! Means a lot, as I enjoy your videos 🙂

So do you have one of these as well then? Very cool! Yeah I like the ‘clip thing’ a lot. I’ve also seen a card kind of thing that stands up underneath the VB, but I think I prefer this clip design.

but the best we can figure is something to the effect of “How to use the VUE-Debugger”. Sorry, it’s the best we could do. (-:

I’m pretty sure you guys are right.

Nice looking unit there, Dan! Truly a great score!

Awesome! Glad to see you got it ok, looks great man! It would be really cool if there are more out there, like you said, I doubt they only made one!

I really like the sounds of this =D I think it would be great to celebrate the VB’s big 20 with anything people have listed here.

While I’m not exactly a talented guy, I could do some video reviews/overviews (almost done my Japanese VB Kiosk overview). I could also rip some music from some games from my VB, once I look into which games we need rips from. Heck, I can also try my hand at making a VB music remix using rytmic retrobits on my DS =P

This is a cool idea! It’d be cool to pay some sort of tribute for the 20th anniversary

I guess they found a couple more in a corner somewhere =P

I pulled the trigger..$35 shipped for this is too good to pass up. Hope they pull through. If not I’m petty sure it falls under Paypal’s buyer protection thing.

Awesome, thanks.

Odd…it’s telling me they’re in stock, shipping within 24 hours. I might give it a shot..

Oh yeah, welcome by the way!

No problem. I hope you get it sorted. It’s a great experience to play on the Virtual Boy, it’ll be worth it 🙂

I just found this guide.

If that looks way over your head, it may be better to pay someone to fix it for you. Unfortunately I don’t know who does this, but I’m sure it can’t be too hard to find someone.

Well at least the console works then. When you turn on the console can you hear a kind of hum sound? You might have to put your ear right up to it, or maybe just keep your hand on the console, as you should also feel a very slight vibration. If it’s doing that, then the displays mechanical bits are functioning. If that’s the case it could possibly be the connection to the actual LED’s got lost entirely. I suppose this would be visually apparent ie. the ribbon cables could have come off entirely. I guess all you can do is take the unit apart and visually inspect it. If nothing looks wrong to you, maybe try taking some pictures of the display parts and post them here.

Is there sound? If you try what bigmak says and it still doesn’t work, try pressing the A button a few times to get the game going, and see if there’s sound. The oven ‘fix’ won’t do squat if the actual console isn’t turning on.

I can’t find the eye shades on there at all, just the tap and VB games. I’m obviously missing something..

I’m pretty sure you just have to press one of the triggers while playing a game. It’s been a while since I’ve used the menu..

Interesting..both those are from the same seller and use the EXACT same pictures. It also looks like it includes a couple of the pieces for the Japanese Kiosk (the controller stand and the game pack lock). Good price though.

They sure make it look like it.. It looks like it’s the regular 1P game in the game footage though.

I think it’s really cool that they have plans an even an early prototype for a Virtual Boy ROM.

Unfortunately I think $1 million is kind of a long shot..

I’d back the game if I had or was planning to get a VR headset, but I think the VB will be as close as I get to VR for a long time.

Who’d a thought hanging a picture could be dangerous.

Hope it’s back to 100% soon 🙂

Did you try using the 3D depth setting in the menu? It’s turned off by default
