I tried through some ways to place objects in the game world. I found a way that’s hopefully generic enough to be usable for what I am planing.

The next step is to find a similar generic way to move objects. This is going to be more complicated as allot of stuff has to be considered.

I just finished Rayman Origins on the PS Vita. I usually don’t like these ‘try-to-collect-everything’ games but this one is actually quite cool. I like the art style and that some of the last levels are pretty hard.

Is this still ongoing? I’ve sent you a couple of messages as I am interested in some of the games but I never got a response.

Wow, finishing Faceball would be quite and interesting task. I don’t know if I would be the right person to do something like this, even though I know how to program the VirtualBoy. Assuming there would be a ROM I think it could be possible.

There are some really talented programmers around here who I guess could realize this. DanB already did a pretty cool raycaster engine (http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=3727&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&type=&mode=0&start=0), so people around here know how to program a game like Faceball.

However, without having seen the game in action and without having the actual ROM it is hard to say how complicated it is.

Thx again for all of the images Mr.G. It would be really great to have some recordings of the music. If you need help figuring out how to record sound from a VirtualBoy just let us now. I am sure we can find a way.

I don´t understand the resistance of some members here on the forum to accomplish such things. Fans of other consoles do all sorts of stuff with GG, Lynx, whathaveya. It just makes me sad….

So why don’t you go ahead and try to realize it? Would be great to have something like that.

One jillion dollars!

Well, I have been working on this. I created the logo and came up with a new name. Too bad I can’t change the name of the Thread.

More important, I started creating a basic animation system. In GameHero I simply coded the movement of all sprites. This time I want to create a more generic approach. This should make the further game development easier. Finishing this will take me some time though.

I just noticed that the English text says “Virtual Box” instead of “Virtual Boy”. Would be a cool title for a game though.

I once was at a retro gaming event and they had a VirtualBoy as well. People were crowding it to get their hands on Wario Land. The overall reactions were pretty positive.

I am not really interested but I just had a couple of beers and want to be part of this, so here is my bid: 100,01€ (one hundred euros and one cent )

I don’t know if I remember correctly, but wasn’t there someone offering 5000$ or so on the marketplace if Faceball was dumped?

I would already appreciate some additional pictures or a video or something like that.

🙂

I also planned for Mansion of Innsmouth and SD Gundam repros in my collection. :/

Also missed my chance to get the four repos. I was just to lazy to to collect donor cards. Well, my bad.

Looks pretty cool. I can’t find the prices for international shipping though. How much is it for shipping to Germany?

I will not be making anymore repros of commercial games.

Well, that sucks. I get your point though.

I just noticed the label wasn’t a perfect square, so here is a fixed version.

Finally here is the logo in a very high resolution. Perfect for printing T-Shirts. 🙂
