I’m having trouble again. It seems like the Killipede’s fighting music is off, but I don’t see how or why. Each song has two different ones, exactly the same but with different tempos because I guess when I play the song on the fighting screen, more stuff is going on so I have to increase the tempo? Anyway, I copied and pasted Killipede’s music and changed the tempo they’re both the same (treble music and bass music) and yet the treble music is playing like it’s either missing a note or the tempo is higher on it, because after a playthrough, it loops and begins to get off track. I don’t know what could be causing this, since it doesn’t do this in the fighter select screen. I’ve attached this as well as the file the music is in. I’m using that sound engine from the Russia game.

Let me see your version of a Virtual Boy millipede. This was by far the toughest insect to make so far. I’m also toying with the idea of making 16 fighters instead of 8, but that’s an idea I have in my head.

Took a little break from my Virtual Fall entry to focus on Insecticide. After a few hours, I was (finally!) able to add Killipede to the roster. Two more to go! Killipede is silent because I haven’t composed a theme for him yet.

I was wondering when that was gonna happen. I noticed it when it said 998,000. I also thought this would be front page news…

I will have something ready by Dec. 31 (hopefully) I began work on it just now and cleared a major hurdle/problem I had with it. I will keep it a secret until I submit it. I doubt anyone will make a game like it, though.

I added some stuff to Superfly’s arena’s background. I decided it’s a kitchen, so there is a sink and a stove and oven, and a little window above the sink. I hope it doesn’t look TOO cluttered. What do you think? I added an attachment picture.

I got bored so I designed Superfly. He’s now in the game. Stuff I need to do is figure out what is in the background of a dining room (Superfly’s arena) and put that in there, which wouldn’t be very hard once I figure out what can go there and get the colors correct (Anyone have any suggestions?). Also, Superfly needs theme music, which I’ll compose when I get around to it. So here’s the newest one. You’ll notice the colors of the fighters and some of the arenas are different. I messed around with different colors. Gi-Ant is now dark red instead of black, etc. This is because I’m trying to get all the fighters (at least mostly) visible in each arena.

With the present board design, you can go anything up to 16Mbit.

I’ve made carts for a few of the homebrew developers. I don’t charge any thing, just send me the donor cart and I’ll do the rest.

Thanks, I’ll let you know once my game is finished.

The version I posted last night did not work on real hardware. I tested this and was up until about 1 in the morning working on it. This one does. You can find the link to it here:

I worked on this for a few hours. I made the arenas bigger. (and changed them a little bit so they’re more “uniformed”, and by that I mean I can make new ones by using the same techniques I used to make the newer ones.) I haven’t tested this on a real VB yet, but plan to.

OK, I’ll keep making this then. Thanks for the kind words.

I don’t know if I should continue with this in the light of the Hyper Fighting game.

I’m toying with the idea of buying cheap blank empty VHS boxes and then having Mr. Tusk print out fancy liners for them.
As for the self-contained unit thing, that wouldn’t really be an ActionMax console, though. I want to make a homebrew for the existing console, not make a new one.

I PM’ed you back.

Theme for Meleedybug composed. Is it just me or does the game skip a bass note every now and then? It seems like more often than not, the bass line is missing a note, which is odd because it has been playing C_2s and then for no reason it all, it skips one, usually near the beginning.
Also, it seems like when I put this on my FlashBoy, near the 20% stage, it speeds up, so I’m guessing I’m using 1/5 of my allotted space?

Personally, my favorite games are Super Mario Worlds 1 & 2 and Donkey Kong Country. Why? Because I can beat them. This was in the days before games were impossible to beat. Then Super Mario 64 came along and now I can’t beat anything.

I was working on fighters shades when I noticed something: All fighters must have the same color palette. So I changed that to the same color palette. I added Meleedybug to the game. Her theme is silent because I haven’t composed one for her yet. Since it’s a ladybug, I’ve decided to make Meleedybug a female insect. (Lady, female, you know.) I’ve decided to drop Slaying Mantis as a fighter since he would be too big of an insect compared to all the other ones. Having a uniform 8 fighters would be good, but since I dropped Slaying Mantis, I only have 7. If anyone can think of a punny insect name fitting the theme of a fighter game, let me know. Next up on my list of stuff to do is compose a theme for Meleedybug.

Too bad it’s in reverse. Why not try to get one that’s printed right? 😉

I made a video about Daytona USA:

I found five you can have. PM me.
