They weren’t limited collectible releases..(maybe the faceball proto release).

But, the idea was not to make hundreds of say ..bound high, and in a few years not have the material to make more games without donor carts (I want to end up with more games then were released for the system eventually).

We want to be in this long term to help the coders and people that work on these games get a physical release they can hold or put in a frame and say…I did that. The releases aren’t just to give back to the community, but to the coders that sacrifice their time and energy into a little system that people gave up on.

They weren’t limited to make them collectible (I guess that’s what i’m saying). We want to get these games in as many peoples hands as we can (that will play the games). But with limited resources, choices have to be made.

Now..total turn around time..this is just my opinion.

I can actually see making bound high again if fan’s are really interested in it, but not in any large amounts and not frequently. Don’t take this the wrong way thou. We won’t be making 50 bound high carts and posting that we are selling them (and i don’t want a bunch of posts saying..i want game). But, I can see possibly making 5-10 once a year if real fans (not just collectors or fly by night collectors) are interested. It’s hard to say ‘no’ to a collector that’s been collecting for 10 years and just hasn’t visited planetvb and missed the games.

So, in summary…yes they are limited, but not to make them collectible..but due to material (and in some sense time..we don’t do this for the money (haha like we make money)). I won’t write myself in a corner and say they will never be made again..but I don’t THINK they will ever be made in ANY large number again. It might be best to put a post in the wanted section.

Oki, enough of my wandering thoughts on the matter, I think I rambled a bit to much. Also, if people want to talk about the philosophy of the releases..and if they should be limited and how much..maybe we should start a separate thread 🙂 I want to hear peoples ideas and thoughts.

the snatcher demo or hyper fighting.

Released games would be pinball 🙂

The demo ?

I wish there was an acrylic case I could get for the japanese version.

So, a bunch of things here. First, after Ben gave us the very detailed story about the creation of the game and how he was “what I’ll call “upset” over the release”, you try to sell it on this site. Then, you don’t really include any decent pictures, so I’m hoping this is a joke.

I think he’s posted tons of pictures of his copy on-line.

-Eric

Where did Ben say he was upset about copies getting out ? I think it’s fine to sell it here..rather that happen then it go somewhere else.

-Eric

Wow, that is cool.

This community is better because of thunderstruck 😛

This might sound silly…but is there a game in it ? Many times I hear of vboy’s not turning on..when no game is in the machine..is their a buzzing sound when you flip it on ?

Richard is still making the flashboys.

No, mass production link cable has been made. But, a few people on this site might have the ability to make them.

Oki, it might just be me…

but using a button to back up out of a menu..sometimes i click on something and have to continue the path and I don’t have a chance to back up.

I think the conversation pictures (little blocks with the characters face), could use more color (hah yea..on a vboy i know), but I think the use of black in it would work well. But, I think talking to thunder that there is an image behind it and it wouldn’t work.

Could those pictures also have depth ? they are used quite a bit..but i’m not sure how many characters you’d have to interact with.

And I can’t wait until the save feature is done..helps with checking out different conversations 🙂

Some of the areas are a bit lacking detail (the factory), but I think that’s the conversion process and there isn’t much to do about it without making whole new art 😛

Overall..nothing to complain about and very little suggestion wise 😛 It’s a great story of course, the 3-d is amazing and the music is great. The computer works well and the shooting does also.

He’s opening up the floodgates….

I think that is great 🙂

Thunder doesn’t program a game..he programs a program to make a game.

-Eric

I had the same problem when I first tried it. I don’t want to give anything away…BUT

be sure you investigate and search things more then once. Just like the conversations….it yields different results.

-Eric

Yahoo japan would prob be the best bet to find the condition you want at the cheapest price..including shipping.

The gillian-got-a-gun 3-d shot is one of my favorite ones so far..gun really pop’s out of the screen.

Please tell me that it will be able to be sold in cartridge form when it’s released because having a click’n’play style game on VB has always been a great idea! 🙂

Another issue with making it in cart form to sell…is it’s size.

Thunder has done an amazing job of making his demo fit on a flashboy. But, if you think of the length of the story…you can see that the final game will be huge.

32 mbit boards have been developed, but I would have to think that multiple carts would have to be made to fit this game on carts.

I’ve talked to Thunder and he expressed a keen interest in releasing the game in ‘parts’ that can be placed on the flashboy. This is great news, to truly experience the 3-d that thunder has put in this game..it needs to be played on hardware.
