I can’t get this to work on the real hardware. In reality boy, it works but only without the asm line, but on hw it doesn’t work either with or without it. I am using the new crt0 and my code looks like in jorgeche’s post.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

I agree with 10YLL, good post.

You must not forget ‘the world’s first 32-bit CD games console’ – the Amiga CD32. It had a year of success in europe before it died.

And the other Amiga computers (500/1000 etc.)

Don’t forget the Atari ST (520/1040/STE). It’s the gaming computer I grew up with.

If 64DD can’t make the list, then why did you include Sega CD? It’s also just an attachment 😛

The problem is, if the seller knows he can get an outrageous price selling on ebay, why would he sell it for less here instead? :/

Have patience, friends.

Do I still need to put the asm(“add 4,r3”); in my code when using this new crt0?

Also, I get a compiler error “multiple definition of ‘tim_vector’ ” after using the new one… How should I define my function now?

Thanks,
DanB

Edit:
Hmm, nevermind, I got it. And it seems like it works without any inline asm.

I was messing with the BRT registers between the screen updates to make it use 3 different red shades for every odd frame. I’ll look at it again when I get my flashboy 😉

I tried the very same thing a year or so ago with similar bad results (I went for 16 colors though :P)

I’ll see if I can dig up some code…

The author of that article is clueless, the virtual boy doesn’t (and can’t) display true vector graphics. All VB graphics are pixel-based…

LOL, just kidding… I didn’t donate anything to that dork 😛

I donated the $50 to him. It will be sweet to see how he kills it 🙂

Hmm, maybe some evil soul replaced its guts with a production model’s to make it play all games 😛

I want the wildcard too 🙂 I’ll give €50 for it.

I found out that the screens on a faulty vb works perfectly if you just make sure that the room you’re playing in is pitch black, so no outside light reaches the screens.

And about those game bits that are too thick to fit the vb’s deep holes, I filed the sides down on one of those so now it fits perfectly.

Maybe it would help if you described what you’re talking about?

I guess I’m out then…

make $700 my first bid then 😉

Is it complete with everything? good condition? I offer $600
