nope, haven’t had the chance to yet.

This mysterious floppy disk was included together with the normal system disks. Can anyone read the hand-written japanese? Maybe it’s the source code of Dragon Hopper? 😀 I don’t have a floppy drive here at the moment to check it…

Guess what arrived in the mail today? 😉

I thought about that too, because of how they sit. But I see no link cable between the systems, just the cords for the controllers. So I guess no… 😐

It probably just looks more brownish to you… But you should still be able to enjoy it without a problem. There’s no need to be able to distinguish red from green to see all graphics or see the 3D effect.

I won it! I can’t believe the debugger is mine 😀 😀 😀

So Happy! My preciooouuus!!! :vb:

The first bid has been placed. I could probably go into 7 figures for this one, so unless you plan to match that, please stay away ;P

Sweet Lord!! This is my holy grail! I simply must have it at any price! But it seems they won’t ship internationally? Does anyone have a good experience with buyee or know of another good proxy service that can help with this?

Sounds awesome, nice write-up! I’d definately want to play some part in this. But since you’re talking about the importance of various notation options for the debugger, can we please (optionally) start calling “windows” “worlds” again? 😉

The font size is about the same. The thing is that it it slightly more bold. Look at the holes in the “R” and the “B” for example. Also, the distance between the buttons and their A and B labels are noticeably longer on closer inspection. But yeah, it doesn’t have quite the same impact of coolness as the one with multi-colored buttons 🙂

Hi Doc!
What’s special about the controller? It looks like the regular one… Does it have the round connector plug?

Heh, nice effect. However, it led me to your other vids reviewing the Omate TrueSmart. I didn’t know it was that awesome, so now I’ll have to order one! Thanks for that 😉

Thank you everyone who voted! It’s a community like this that plays a big part in what makes developing for the VB so fun! And an extra congrats to M.K for a well deserved first place!

Congratulations on 1st prize M.K! You truly earned it, this project is nothing short of amazing! My two favourite consoles combined into one! 🙂

If I remember first grade art class correctly red LEDs with blue lenses would result in a pink image while red LEDs with green lenses would result in an yellow image.

Nope, it doesn’t work like that. Blue lenses would result in a black image. That’s how the red/blue glasses work, the blue side blocks out red light. You wouldn’t see anything…

I went there last weekend, and it did play Mario’s Tennis at first, but when I came back to it a while later it was broken. The mirrors were oscillating, but no image or audio… The cart seemed to be in place too. There was nothing I could do 🙁

This is a great entry, thunder! Addictive gameplay, good looks, and HARD(!) like an arcade shooting range. A full game would be sweet!

This is an interesting game, I hadn’t heard about it before either, but it seems well executed! Also always nice to see the affine mode put to use. Good work, guys!

This is very cool! I’m guessing I can learn alot about ASM from it as well. Great work, Greg!

This is a great little version! Also very impressive for just a days work!
