I know what you mean, as I collect:
Atari 2600
Famicom
NES
Gameboy (Pocket, Light, Color and Advance)
Super Famicom
SNES
Virtual Boy
R-Zone
Nintendo 64
Playstation

I also own:
Commodore 64 (I just display it in my room)
Dreamcast (I can never find games for it and eBay prices are awful. :/)
GameCube (I only use it for the Gameboy Player and Zelda Collectors disc.)
XBOX (I only liked a few games which I bought long ago)
Wii (Emulation mostly)
Sport Vii (impossible to find other VC cartridges)
Playstation 3 (haven’t bought a game for it in a long time, mostly use it for Blu Ray’s.)

I like collecting many videogame related things, there’s a rich and interesting history about videogames with many different choices for collecting. 🙂

(I added a plexi cover to my best boxed system and rearranged the shelves to be more visually pleasing to look at.)

I like how the enemies of Panic Bomber animate in 3D but I also enjoy how V Tetris has lines explode outward in a 3D way. 3D Tetris is also okay as it reminds me of the arcade game “BlockOut” but it doesn’t feel as good without the colouring of the blocks to help you form lines easier.

Virtual Boy definitely has nice puzzle games though.

(Also there’s a good side angle of the display, it came from GameStop.)

Yea, I agree with bigmak. I don’t buy Virtual Boy stuff because I think I can sell it later for profit, I know I’ll never see profit but that doesn’t matter to me. I enjoy owning and playing Virtual Boy, because it’s a fantastic gaming experience.

Thanks, I think it’s pretty stylish and it shows my care for the system.

This is my display for Virtual Boy, it’s small but it’s still very nice.

The only thing not pictured is my other Virtual Boy box and my Blockbuster cased system with the power tap and 3 games (Teleroboxer, Mario Tennis and Galactic Pinball – **All duplicates of my main games**)

I actually have 2 boxed Japanese Panic Bomber’s and one boxed USA version too, it’s one of my favorite puzzle games.

Yes I agree, solder repair is the only way to go as 19 year old glue won’t hold at all.

Yes^ and sadly the newcomer has not posted since. I hope those responses haven’t damaged his view if the community as a whole.

They should be sold separately at $35 (on bidding) each, and you should emphasise that the screens have been fully repaired and are guaranteed to function.

After thinking about it Waterworld is actually “Asteroids” mixed with “Defender”, if you were flying a spaceship and changed the people into crashed shuttles and the smokers into aliens and asteroids then you’d have a solid concept of a arcade game. 🙂

Okay not in a million years did I think I’d recommend “Waterworld” but after playing it a solid hour I can definitely say it’s like 3-D Asteroids (bigmak suggested that it’s like Asteroids and he’s totally correct).

It’s like a 3D Asteriods clone with full arcade styling.

But my TOP 10 list:

1) VB Wario Land
2) Bound High!
3) Panic Bomber
4) V Tetris (Japanese release only)
5) Jack Bros. (Japanese version is lower cost)
6) Space Squash (Japanese release only)
7) Mario Clash
8) Nester’s Funky Bowling
9) Teleroboxer
10) Waterworld (basically like 3D “Asteroids”, therefore more fun for me personally)

🙂 it’s always possible to find low cost stuff.

That does look excellent, cheers! 🙂

You will find one, I believe in such luck. 🙂

I still want HUNTER to be completed first then this game. This demo games simply make me wish for full games.

Here’s a thread where you can buy a custom made (stronger then original) medallion.

I believe you can do it, but likely it will be from a member here or luck on ebay.

speedyink, that’s gonna be costly but if its what you want. I only have a handful of games complete.

Damn, that’s still one I need. Hoping to find one for a good price as well, but have kind of been slacking on the search lately..

I got it for $30 shipped! Its just the cart with edge connector cover but I still feel like that was a good price.

Its an amazing collection, and exactly what someone should have for a great starter set. Its gonna make someone an instant collector in mere moments.
