I don’t want to sound harsh, Gabriel, but many of your posts have zero value and only spam the forum. I say it again: Think before you post! If there’s nothing useful to post, then don’t post anything at all. Posting crap just to rank up is not accepted.

Of course it’s not possible to edit polls after posting them, otherwise it would be possible to manipulate the outcome.

It would be nice to be able to edit them as long as nobody voted, but unfortunately, our forum software does not allow this. 🙁

I think it’s not a bad idea. In general, it makes sense to me to reward community activity, which ads are. Well, kind of.

I am considering it, but maybe it’d be a good idea to give such a badge a different focus. Or at least make it less easy to earn than by posting a single, random ad. Like “Marketplace User”, which is awarded if a person has posted several ads in the last few months or something.

e5frog: Can’t give you a FlashBoy before I built one. PCBs are not even ordered yet. 😉 But you can now preorder one, see the news. PM me about the donor carts. 🙂 Looking forward to what your friend will quote. A CAD drawing already exists. Custom carts should do not need to have the official logos and stuff on the back, either a smooth surface, or a FlashBoy logo. 😀

More details: There will be a new batch of 50 FlashBoys “this summer”. Mid/late August I guess. We’ll announce more details when we have them, pre orders will start once we got all the parts and can put a final price tag on the new units.

Thanks for the offer, but I can’t take it. Nester’s Funky Bowling is too rare to use it as a donor cartridge with a clean conscience. 😉 If you sold it instead, you could get quite a few Euro for it.

I have quite a few donor games left, so it is not (yet) necessary to send one in when ordering a FlashBoy. But, if anyone has some spare cartridges, I’d like to buy them to secure future batches. Due to international shipping costs, that’d only make sense if it were at least like 5 games, though.

Good idea. I hope to have a forum up soon. Not entirely sure about the direction of the site yet, but it will probably have its focus on general 3DS news, and an extensive game database, while development will only be discussed on the forums.

We could still not find any suitable flash chips, so I currently can not guarantee a new batch of FlashBoys.
