PD stands for Public Domain. I used that for homebrews, because those were not released in a particular region.

Aah, the h1 mystery… Nobody knows. I wonder if Virtual Bomberman was h1?

Game IDs are unique and can be used to identify a game. The japanese version of Galactic Pinball has the serial VUE-VGPJ-JPN for example:

VUE – System
V – “Virtual Boy?” Not sure, every VB serial has a V here
GP – Game ID
J – In-game Language of the game. J for Japanese in this case.
JPN – Region the game was released in. JPN for Japan in this case.

Serials/Game IDs are not case sensitive.

Oh right, THAT case. Now I remember.

Someone tried selling it? On ebay or privately? Someone from here?

I _think_ they were the same color as the DPads, but I am not sure. I will try to get a photo of the back.

Those are not uncommon, but I also think it would be interesting to have a collection of scans or photos of those stickers. Anyone have some more?

btw, vbrulez, just go to the forum you want to post a thread in first, then click the “new thread” button. moved to vb discussion (NOT off topic).

‘kay. 🙂

PAT! >:O

I just nearly got a heart attack! 😛

Just as I thought, several versions of the sample soft. Maybe there’s visible differences, though?

Oh, didn’t notice that was in the wrong forum as well. Thanks, HorvatM!

Well, well… Time for a lesson. PLEASE people:
a) Do a quick search before you post. Answers to most of your questions can be found that way.
b) We have different subforums for a reason. It’s not like they’re there so you can choose one randomly or have a different one for every day of the week or whatever. Take another second to think which forum might be the right one for your post. PLEASE.

Moved and closed.

I got the files. Thanks a lot for everything, Matthew! 🙂

Please send the donations now, guys! I am preparing everything, the files will be out later today.

Awesome! I just sent $20. Please PM me, or post here if you don’t mind, how we should proceed with this.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. You should get both, since both are pretty fun and have very different approaches. 3D Tetris will be a bit expensive, though.

No, both are exactly the same.

(albeit being listed seperately in the games section, carrying different names, looking totally different and being by completely different companies. :-P)

A quick search on the Forum would have answered your question. Welcome, btw. 😉

Very nice people. We’re at $160 now. Hopefully we’ll hear some news about the disks soon.

Aackom: Yes, these are official Nintendo Samples. The docs and stuff will be in japanese, maybe some comments in the source are english. Tools like VUCC will most likely be english as well.

$20 DogP
$20 KR155E
$20 dasi
$20 Deadly-D
$20 manwe
$20 DanB
$20 Dave_
$20 Yackom

Works like a charm now, great! 🙂

Yay! It’s coming! 🙂 Gave it a quick play. Looks good. Some bug reports/suggestions:

– Transition between “Important” screen and title screen does not look very good. You should use fading there as well. (Although I’d make that one fade quicker than the fade out on the title screen.)

– Same thing for many other screen transitions, like to the level select screen or going back to the title screen after you died

– Level select still does not always recognize button presses, probably due to waitFrame() calls

Other than that, nothing to complain.

So a little status who wants to donate:
– DogP (?)
– KR155E
– dasi
– Deadly-D
– manwe

Makes a total of $100 already! 🙂

No. There are three releases of gccVB, and only the third one has to be compiled. Try using gccVB CVS 06-20-05.

Note to myself: this info belongs in the demo, need to update it.

Try the second gccVB release, which I used to write the demo. It probably won’t work with gccVB 1.0.
