Aah, the h1 mystery… Nobody knows. I wonder if Virtual Bomberman was h1?
Game IDs are unique and can be used to identify a game. The japanese version of Galactic Pinball has the serial VUE-VGPJ-JPN for example:
VUE – System
V – “Virtual Boy?” Not sure, every VB serial has a V here
GP – Game ID
J – In-game Language of the game. J for Japanese in this case.
JPN – Region the game was released in. JPN for Japan in this case.
Oh, didn’t notice that was in the wrong forum as well. Thanks, HorvatM!
Well, well… Time for a lesson. PLEASE people:
a) Do a quick search before you post. Answers to most of your questions can be found that way.
b) We have different subforums for a reason. It’s not like they’re there so you can choose one randomly or have a different one for every day of the week or whatever. Take another second to think which forum might be the right one for your post. PLEASE.
Sorry, I couldn’t resist. You should get both, since both are pretty fun and have very different approaches. 3D Tetris will be a bit expensive, though.
(albeit being listed seperately in the games section, carrying different names, looking totally different and being by completely different companies. :-P)
Very nice people. We’re at $160 now. Hopefully we’ll hear some news about the disks soon.
Aackom: Yes, these are official Nintendo Samples. The docs and stuff will be in japanese, maybe some comments in the source are english. Tools like VUCC will most likely be english as well.
Yay! It’s coming! 🙂 Gave it a quick play. Looks good. Some bug reports/suggestions:
– Transition between “Important” screen and title screen does not look very good. You should use fading there as well. (Although I’d make that one fade quicker than the fade out on the title screen.)
– Same thing for many other screen transitions, like to the level select screen or going back to the title screen after you died
– Level select still does not always recognize button presses, probably due to waitFrame() calls
