I’ll go with:

1. Wii (mainly for emulation of the below)
2. Super Famicom
2. Famicom
3. Gameboy
4. VirtualBoy (I love it, but the above eclipse it)

– I’d love to squeeze the GBA and Megadrive in there and even the Gamecube.

– I think I spent the most time on PS2, but I can’t say it’s my favourite (even though it probably is)…

YES! I’ve been meaning to get my hands on this at the weekend, through an emulator.

Are you playing it in Japanese? It was released in the States, so not exclusive if that means you can play an English language copy easier.

There’s a demo tap going for 99c on there.
If it goes for under $150, it’s because I couldn’t bid on it.

If you only send via registered/insured mail (as I do), you can protect yourself against this, but good luck with the auctions and I understand your stance. I hope you can get the amount you need for the circumstances, which we’re all very sorry to hear about.

I really think you should allow international bidders.

I could grab some of this stuff, but I can’t bid.
Greece is in a dire situation but Germany for example is fine and there’s demand for the VB in Europe due to it never arriving here.

Just my two cents, but I thought it was worth a mention.

I’m going with Oblivion. Some people love it, but it’s left an indellible putrid taste in my mouth though and I regret even trying it out. I knew I’d hate it, by the nine.

Sorry, I think the American ‘approach’ to box art localisation is tantamount to vandalism.

Tempted to pick some up in white actually, like the Gameboy power cart:

Trouble is, this is just shells. I can’t help but think that it’s better to use donor carts, considering the community is relatively small and carts relatively cheap.
Some people in the NES community for example, abhor using donor carts when other options are available.

I suppose I could see the allure for a special cart, like a Flashboy 2 or similar.

Just to add, that’s not me being sarcastic, I just love the Terminator as a piece of character design and thought it was somewhat related considering he sees in red and black 😉

Plus the general ‘forever alone’ expression made me chuckle.
The Virtual Boy is basically Nintendo’s melancholy console after all…

So far I enjoyed Kingdom Hearts the most.

I played a lot of Mario 3D and for me that’s the ‘best’ 3DS game right now, just as Wario Land is for the VB.

In a tech demo sense, I’d say Red Alarm is ‘best’ for the VB and in that same sense for 3DS, I’d probably stick Zelda in that slot for the same reason.

Love the Kirby 3D classic too, but it’s not really a 3DS game…

I think WarioLand 4 is best, closely followed by VB WarioLand.
I’m playing through the Gameboy ones at the moment.

Well I know that other buyers have explained this to him so on this occasion I did take a strong stand.
I buy a lot from this particular seller so I wasn’t going to be misled.

It actually really annoyed me and took quite few e-mails to get a half admission out of them, but I got there in the end and recived a demo tap for free I suppose (after I paid for the other one).

I was at one point expecting to have to return it to get a refund , which is a moot refund basically (after return shipping costs) and I can assure you it took a lot of strongly worded e-mails to get that tap in the end.

Though I was royally peeved on this occasion, I did work things out with the seller and have continued to buy things, putting this singular unpleasant episode in the past. I’d still definitely and wholeheartedly recommend him, maybe just stay away from the taps…

I also got a mosaic tap from the same seller.
When it arrived it was a regular and I was a little upset so I messaged him and eventually he did send another that WAS a demo tap. I even got to keep both.
I later picked up a boxed demo VB and a JP demo Mario Clash, so I got a good set in the end.

I still think it’s a bad idea – the stronger the effect the more magical the headaches. This is also true of the 3DS, something we found when pushing images out of the screen, it’s very uncomfortable.

I didn’t realise the VB could have that much of an effect though. I thought the 256 degrees of depth amounted to pixel adjustments, in otherwise very precise but small iterations.

FPSs aren’t good for the VB, because of the controller and also because of the depth of field.

You walk down a corridor, but the VB can’t portray that amount of depth that it needs to. This is the main obstacle in my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see 3D Monster Maze or an old school first-person Dungeon Crawler on VB, but DOOM is misguided.

Technically possible (it’s done on ZX Spectrum even), but it won’t feel like DOOM at all and that’s half the point right?

I agree, you just have to find a game that can be enjoyable in red and black only. I think games like Metroid for example can pull it off, but Day of the Tentacle couldn’t.

Some games really need those colours.
