Great Job Alex, is there any hope to make an MP3 or wave file (id like to have it on my playlist.) And are you going to make other songs from the VB as well?

Here’s an Idea that I think the VB could actually do. A good friend of mine and an active member of the site (even though he actually denies it that he came up w/ this idea.) came up with a great idea of a split console game where it requires 2 systems linked w/ a link cable and has 2 differant views one is the strategist and the other the enforcer. One can make the stratgies and help the other out while the other goes in and does the dirty work. I thought that this was a great idea and now I’m sharing it w/ you…Thoughts

Your ad is very well done…I want a poster…Kudos

Personally, I think the Virtual Boy and its library is more similar to the Game Boy. The added power did help to make the games feel a little less microscopic though. Visually more on-par with SNES, but the games felt a lot more like Game Boy games, as in shorter and better for quick plays.

Personally you and I see eye to eye on this one I do feel it’s like a higher res gameboy mainly for the lack of music ability on the console. I do feel that it has lots of untapped potential and can’t wait to see what the future holds for our little red buddy.

Sweet….TerryJ this is seriously cool. Kudos. Any plans to manufacture and sell?

Thank you to the powers that be;) it’s really cool getting a hard copy of these great demos. When I was told that I was going to get something I thought “great a small poster” boy was I wrong…. dead wrong it’s a great thing though. thank you for your kindness.

like i said i am new to collecting for the V-Boy if some of you could help what would be some good advice for collecting for it i have noticed it is not a cheap console to collect for and was wondering what some of you may know to get the best bang for my buck (I’m on a budget) any advice at all helps thanks

The most important purchase you can make for the VB (besides getting RunnerPack to fix your displays) is a Flashboy. it will allow you to play every great game ever made for the vb and every great homebrew too. And there are some great roms out there. If you want to know where to get a Flashboy just ask Minestorm and see if he’s making them at the minute. I have one and it’s top notch!

his last contest entry was pretty good also……just sayin

What are we talkin about here DanB….good?

HE HITS IT OUTTA THE PARK EVERY TIME!

YETI ENGINE: INCREDIBLE

HUNTER: OUTSTANDING

BALLFACE: IDENTICAL

ZSPACE RACERS: BETTER THAN THE WIREFRAME VERSION THAT “N” PUT OUT

I think we would all be happy for him to complete any one of his games. Especially Yeti Engine,Hunter or Zspace Racers!

There will be many that will benefit using your engine. The community really needs something like this especially if it’s open source.;)

Good call Morintari! VirtualFest shall define 2015 🙂

Does that mean you will be designing the official banner in full red + black?

Maybe maybe not you have to understand I have too many Irons in the fire. You understand, I’m a very busy man.

Why don’t we call the comp Virtualfest What do you guys think? You know since it’s not really a comp but a Celebration of all things VB? How does that sound?

for Genesis try Vector Man 1 and 2 also if you want a great original contra type shooter you can’t go wrong w/ Gunstar Heroes. as far as Sega CD the only one that really stood out in my mind as being original is soul star but that’s closer to a shooter than a platformer. Back in the day Silpheed was cool too but when comparing it to even VB graphics I think you may be disapointed. it too is a shooter.

Soooooooooo much potential, here’s the place to untap it!
Happy 19th VB!

I almost want to buy like 5 of these things because one of these days you won’t be able to find them…
If you need a shade this would be your best bet. I have seen people put these things on ebay and sell them for $45…
