When i run your Test-Programm, I can move the IPD Switch as many times as I want. Nothing happened. That makes no sense, right?

Yeah, if you have a flash cart, you can determine which lines are bad with this: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/games/?h051g .

I doubt you have any shorts, or both sides would have lines (all the signals are shared between the two displays except a select signal), but it’s definitely possible that there’s a bad connection from the solder to the wire. I have also seen displays die from too much heat, if you weren’t careful while soldering.

Thats…. I….. I don’t understand it. I test the Display with this very nice tool ( Many thx DogP for made this ! ). And there are NO DEAD LINES on the right screen. Not even one!!! Then i played BoundHigh (or any other Game) and the dead lines occur again. At the VB titel screen they are not visible, first one on the “Automatic Pause Screen” i can see it.

i don’t know the English Word for the cabel, the German is “Kupferlackkabel”. It’s a cabel with Lacquer on it, if you heat it up it lost his isolation on the end of the Cabel.

I really think there are no shorts. i soldered the cabel 3times complete new.

i destroyed 4 Soldering pins ( circle on the Picture )but there are 4 alternative points, so i don’t think thats the Problem. :/

was ich aber grade sehe, das Wolfsoft Dingen ist ein 3,8mm Schraubenzieher welcher für Module ist, für Konsolen brauchst du aber die 4,5mm Variante. Mußte mal gucken ob die den auch haben, bin grade zu faul. *g*

Wenn du willst verkauf ich dir auch meinen für’n 10er + Versand? (Unversichert 90ct, Einschreiben 3,-€)

Dann mach ich mir nämlich einen neuen, hab ja noch das original, und du mußt keine 25,50€ bei den Halsabschneidern von Wolfsoft ausgeben. O_O

soweit ich das rauslesen konnte ist dein VB auch beim versand kaputt gegangen und du suchst jetzt möglichkeiten das zu reparieren, richtig? Bzw. erstmal zu öffnen?!

1. Vergess die Baumärkte, auch elektronik Shops wie Conrad können dir net weiterhelfen, die haben so dinger noch nie gesehen, und falls doch werden sie dir auch net weiterhelfen können weil se das net geöffnet bekommen aufgrund der spitz zulaufenden Schachts im VB.

Was du brauchst ist das hier ( http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-28-77-1-49-de-15-gamebit-70-140.html ) weiteres suchen nach billigeren Preisen kannste dir ersparen. ist imho der billigste ;-). Währe das ding dann bei dir angekommen mußt du es nach diesem tut hier umwandeln http://www.virtual-boy.org/projectvb/projects/SecurityBit.htm Dremel war hier mein Freund. *g*

Was ich noch ein wenig verbesserungswürdig finde. Er ist hingegangen und hat nur die Kontakte mit Tesa gefixt. Ich bin hingegangen und hab Heißkleber drauf gemacht sowie die Kabel entgültig fixiert. Grund war das bei erschütterung das Bild wieder weg war, nach der von ihm dort beschriebenen Methode.

Joar, noch fragen… nur zu.

€dit: Achja, der VB brauch wirklich ~5sek zum booten. Das hat mich beim erstenmal auch erschreckt. *g*

hmm, yesterday my VB get broken again. -_-

I open it, put the screen in the oven again….. but then i don’t use clear packing tape, i use ( i don’t know the name in English, in German it called “Heißkleber” 1:1 translated it called ) “Hot Glue” also i fixed the Cabel between the Mainboard and the Screens on the black plastic, so the Cabel cannot move if the VB is shaken.
