If you want the best homebrew options, it would probably be in your best interest to never update the firmware. However, I very much look forward to the June 6th update that includes the E-Store.
I will also chime in and say I prefer the VB over the 3DS. As the owner of a 3DS, I think it’s a cool toy. There is depth, but ZERO immersion. Also a bit peeved about the sloppy construction (floppy screen), and the terrible sweet spot. If the console fails, let’s hope it at least gets one killer App before said death.
If it does die out, I’ll remember this time to buy up the uncommon or rare games on clearance to horde for the next 15 years 😛

I believe the Launch titles on VB are dual language, but generally most of the VB line-up is not bi-lingual.
First off, try cleaning the battery compartment and battery pack connections with electronics cleaner or alcohol, sounds like an obvious contact issue.
Secondly, yes, reproduction medallions for the stands is a much needed aftermarket product in the VB scene. Hopefully someone will produce them soon.

I would assume the female pinout that’s attached to the PCB would be needed. Otherwise, we could have just mass-produced cartridge shells by now for Homebrew carts and flashboys. As it stands, I think there is extreme difficulty and/or high expense to produce PCBs with the VB cart female connector.

I’ve been collecting games, consoles & arcade machines starting in 1987. Unfortunately over the years I have parted with lots of stuff, and I’m not sure what I still own. (I still have storage unit(s) full of stuff)
I’ve owned almost every console under the sun, that’s including goofball systems from all generations and territories.
I mainly focus on cool rarities and oddball consoles, prototypes, and whatever may currently catch my fancy. I don’t really play video games much at all anymore, I just always have and still enjoy them.

Honestly though, I’ve had better luck with recent auctions by simply bidding high and early. Scares away lots of potential snipers when the price range is already questionable with days left until end. Just, you know, can kinda’ kill the motivation. I hope this tactic pays off for you, it very much might.
I’d totally be interested in a dedicated BH cart. If there could be a cart sticker and box made, I’d gladly add additional money to the initial 2 sack carts requested.

Awesome, I just got a boxed Jaguar too. I bought one new in 1993 and even bought a Jaguar CD when it came out, but in later years I gave my stuff away to a friend. The Jaguar really isn’t the best system and has a lackluster game line-up, but plenty of positive nostalgia for me. Almost every game was like the SNES FX chip games, which was pretty darn exciting at the time.

Yeah, that’s definitely a rad shirt. I’m watching the auction in hopes that the price stays low, I just can’t afford $150 every time a cool VB shirt, hat or desk-clock pops up anymore. 😕
I bid almost $700 on the Virtual Bowling that was just on eBay, and the darn thing went for near $1300. Even paying $900 last year was “top dollar” and I viewed that as way overpriced and an unwise investment.
But I digress, prices going up is also a fantastic thing since it shows rising public interest in this cool console.
The jealous little prick in me wants to complain about how a text review is better than a video with all the production that entails, but nah, it’s fine. I’m just happy to be appreciated at all and I really appreciate it. Thank you all!

Thanks. You are correct, I haven’t calibrated my monitor since I had to replace the mainboard. My colors were off a bit (my red must be too high, and blue too low on my monitor) and I didn’t even touch the contrast (fail on my part).
