Well, since the rest of the words are in all caps in that part, I would also leave “PLANETVB.COM” in all caps. Plus if one enters “PLANETVB.COM” into one’s URL or address bar, the “www” should automatically be added by one’s computer, so in my opinion, I don’t think that is necessary.

I do agree, though, that a higher resolution and better quality “VIRTUAL BOY” logo should be used, since the rest of the image looks otherwise clean and crisp.

Lots of international PayPal buyer fraud…

On a lighter note, check out a BIN I scored yesterday:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/170722118005

I guess attempting to commit fraud never crosses my mind for my own transactions, which is why I didn’t even think of that as a possible reason. Plus, I previously didn’t know that it was easier to prevent fraudulent claims of non-receipt within one’s own country than with shipping across seas, so thanks for that info.

Nice BIN! 🙂

I’ve noticed quite a bit of sellers living in the United Kingdom who, for whatever reason, refuse to ship products outside of their country, even specifically to the United States:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SD-Gundam-dimension-war-virtual-boy-/160675977650?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item256908d9b2

Can someone explain, specifically, why a person living in the U.K. might refuse to ship a product to the United States of America? What problems may arise with such a transaction, which one seeks to avoid? I assume it has to be something more than just the box being damaged in shipping. That could happen even if one ships something across town.

That looks extremely nice!

I think that the design, minus the “doesbenfoldfive” name, should be left completely intact. All original U.S. Virtual Boy games and manuals conformed to a certain standard, so I think that this manual should conform to the same standard.

excuseme, i don’t undertand, the box is for games VB, or for virtualboy console?
Saludos.

Richard LP,

This list is for people who would like to purchase a video game box for a Virtual Boy video game entitled “Bound High.” This video game was never officially released for the Virtual Boy, so no “official” box was ever made for the game, but an “unofficial” box was made, and the image for it was posted on this site. Each person on this list intends to purchase a high quality, full color version of this box, which will go together with his or her reproduction cart of “Bound High.” Only reproduction carts of this game, not official carts, have been made and have been released by Richard Hutchinson, whose screen name on this site is MineStorm. If you would like to get a reproduction cart of this game from him, send him an e-mail to the e-mail address that appears on his profile page and ask for more details as to how to get one.

That is an attractive case.

Be ready for requests from Virtual Boy owners to make them ones. 🙂

Would the box that would be printed be this one?

http://www.meaninc.com/meaninc/pvb/BoundHighBox.jpg

I would purchase a box if I knew that the quality would be better than what I can get from my own home printer.

The serial number for my Virtual Boy that has its original box is:

VN102525784

The serial number for my Virtual Boy that has no box is:

VN101690971

Virtual Boy System Box Dimensions (U.S. Version):

(Looking at it in the same way that L___E___T did)

Width = 14.6875 inches = 373.0625 millimeters
Height = 12.50 inches = 317.5 millimeters
Depth = 5.8125 inches = 147.6375 millimeters

Looks like the U.S. version and the Japanese version were intended to be the same size.

My measurements were very tight on a box that is still in very good condition.

Translating the whole magazine would probably take me several months, but page 35 does look very interesting to me, so I will probably be translating that sometime in the near future and will post the translation on this site. 🙂

I find it interesting that the author of the brief description of the book on the webpage seems to intentionally go out of the way to NOT mention the Virtual Boy at all in the description, though it necessarily has to be in the book since it says that the book includes info on every one of his inventions. It’s almost like the author didn’t want to mention the Virtual Boy, in case that would detract people from buying the book.

I would also be very curious to see what and how much info is included on the Virtual Boy.

I’ve found that the cheapest carts to buy and send to Richard for conversion purposes are the Mario’s Tennis carts that can be purchased on Amazon.com.

The best thing is, you don’t have to wait for any auction to end to get them dirt cheap! 🙂
