The game has been mentioned on the forum once (just search the site for “Revival Studios”). A single preview render for the game called “EFX” was posted on their homepage. I don’t think I heard anything else about it. Should add it to the game database anyway, yeah.
Thanks for sharing the information you got mailed!

That’s pretty reasonable! Thanks for the info! Would there be a rebate if we ordered a whole bunch of them? It’s also great to hear that higher complexity does not mean higher costs.
Now, it would be interesting to know how much a cartridge shell would cost, wouldn’t it? 🙂 I assume it would be about the same?
Forget all these super-expensive 3D printers – Printerbot kits for self-assembly will be available at $500. http://www.3dprinter.net/printerbot-499-less-than-hour-build
Provided we can find fitting edge connectors, this baby might eventually end the Virtual Boy donor cartridge mass murder. 😉

DH and Face ball we do know about and i think its a crime that VB owners cant play these games.
Faceball. That one would also be worth a community funded ROM release. And it is even realistic (slightly), since its existance is confirmed and a ROM already dumped.
Actually, I am following this with much interest and also tried your preview version, but, unfortunately, I can not find the time to lend a helping hand. I bet I am not the only one, so it would be wrong to say there’s no interest – although it might look like that. 😉
If we ever get the chance to community fund a release of Dragon Hopper, I’d expect a relatively high 4 figure price. £50 would probably be the absolute minimum per person to reach such an amount.
Doubtful that it will ever happen, but one can dream. 🙂

Around the time of Bound high rom ‘debates’ there was also a post saying how this community has no idea of what is out there in the ‘uber collector’ inner circle the poster felt they had to tell us about, could be bs, who really knows?
BS, indeed.
The font is called “Georgia”, a transitional serif typeface and web core font, just like Times New Roman, but much more better looking IMHO. 🙂
For PVB, it is specified in the site’s stylesheet: http://www.planetvb.com/themes/default_new/css/style.css

It’s very possible that “Sundays Point” is an inaccurate translation. Google translate backs your theory that it should actually be “Sandy’s Point”.
L___E___T and I asked his friend, who also translated the cover, to translate page 35. He is a professional translator living in Japan and should be able to give a definitie answer. 🙂
On a site note, I wonder what kind of game “Sandy’s Point” could’ve been…
Magazine is scanned, but only the VB relevant pages: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/articles/?s011138001 🙂

I’ve started using this thread as a bit of development log, if that is against forum rules, or is bothering anyone please let me know.
On the contrary, please continue showing us your progress! 🙂

Currently, the live chat feature is still in beta testing stage and not free of bugs. It still has to be decided whether it will remain on this site or not. Unfortunately, I did not get around to look at the known bugs yet, so the beta test phase has become rather long… I should do a posting on the frontpage when the live chat is “done”, right.
Here’s the respective thread: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4399&forum=6
The article referring to a tech demo, which is known under different names. It’s listed here on PVB as “F1 Demo”, due to the car that looks like a Formula 1 racer. A bit more info, screenshots and videos here:
This functionality is broken. Just PM me your desired new address and I’ll change it for you. 🙂
That’s a very nice collection of flyers. It’s this Faceball flyer: http://www.planetvb.com/modules/games/?u005if252

By the way Krisse, the images on that page don’t show up on firefox – is there a bugs section of the site you’d be happy for me to mention things like that in?
You’re very welcome to post any bugs you find in the feedback forum (“PVB”): http://www.planetvb.com/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=6&since=0
The images show up for me, though. Currently on Firefox 3.6, Linux. Do the images still not show up? Maybe you just experienced a temporary server problem?

How big is it? You could use a file hoster like megaupload.com alternatively.
