This lot includes 3 “Blockbuster shrink-wrapped” copies of Mario’s Tennis.
This is about as close as you can get to owning a sealed copy of the game.

They should have made a Virtual Girloh but there IS a Virtual Girl 😛
(Nintendo just didn’t know it!)
Haha, I still haven’t had the need to see or buy that movie.
I still think a pink or purple “Virtual Girl” console would have been rad.

VJ, did you try to send the images yet? If email is not working either, we could either use a file hosting service like megaupload.com or FTP. 🙂
Sorry, been busy with family medical problems. I haven’t attempted to upload the large files yet, sorry. Still have to send you high res pics of the Nester’s hanging display too.
I’ll get around to it shortly, and megaupload if I have further upload issues on the site (Which has most likely been due to my slow connection).

Neo-Geo MVS 4 slot consolized with “111 in 1” game card… i recently bought it and now i’m the happiest man on earth!
Congrats. Still, AES owns MVS. Such manly overpriced carts. So display worthy. Only other home console I would rank in the same league is the CPS Changer.

(I’m still frustrated over that hater of a girlfriend he has! why should one have a significant other who makes them sell their game stuff?!)
Virtual Boys > Real Girls
They should have made a Virtual Girl, similar to how they released a Talk-girl version of the Talk-boy.
(Way before your time, GYF)

Why oh why did we want a Talk-boy?

I am not going to pretend that this is authentic, but it is worth showing. I would imagine that it was done by Blockbuster for the purpose of display, a looong time ago- before it would have been worth selling as rare or sealed. Strange thing is, it has a game inside.
Since the value was so low, some blockbusters shrinkwrapped the used VB games and sold the “loaded” product on the shelf. (I mean, it was only like $1.99)
I’ve seen multiple sealed used copies with the blockbuster stickers on the shrinkwrap.

Oh whoops. I for some reason kept misreading 4.x to 1.4… how I’ll never know especially after typing it already. Meh. Oh well, I’m just glad I’m up and running now.Haha and that’s so true… trying to follow goto’s through a program is never a pretty (or sane) thing. I was more on the joking side, but then started to actually think about it a little… *shiver*
Anyhow, I should be good for now. Thanks everyone for the help! I’m going to get coding now! 😀
Thanks for your 2011 donation to the site. Would you like 1 Euro refunded to you, or one Euro donated back to the site?

I don’t think Virtual Fishing is broken or anything, just that it’s boring beyond belief.
Yo’ Mama. 😛
You actually beat the game yet? I fealt like a proud old Japanese man that reaked of Ben-gay. A form of satisfaction and pride I wish I had never known. 🙁
I like the game, I give it at least a 7/10.
Stinkers on my list are Waterworld for repetition off the bat, and Insmouth was “OMG” REALLY dated for the time, let alone the clumsy dual d-pad controls. I expect such poor corridor crap from the Atari 2600, not the VB.
I’ve never read the book “A Shadow over Insmouth”, maybe I’d respect the game more if I was a fan of the literature. Still, I think Insmouth has the coolest title screen of all time.
edit: nevermind, I missed something.

I have 10/14 US games complete plus V-Tetris. The ones I have left are Waterworld, Jack Bros., Nester’s Funky Bowling, and 3D Tetris. These all cost an arm and a leg, so I don’t expect to get them any time soon 🙁
You have to think of personal value to you.
I’ve sold a complete boxed Waterworld on ebay that ended for $50.
$50 is cheaper than or on par with a new & bad 360 game.
Out of your list, only a complete boxed US Jack Bros could or should breach the $100 mark.
You should only be concerned about the Japanese “Big 4”.
Space Invaders Virtual Collection
Virtual Lab
SD Gundam Dimension Wars
Virtual Bowling
Nice. Soon enough you’ll catch the VB collector’s bug and will be selling all those games to replace them with complete boxed versions. 😛
Keep the Blockbuster stickered Tennis though. 🙂
BTW, what’s the serial number on the VB unit? Maybe an original Blockbuster rental.
So where are you guys preordering your 3DS from?
I live in a shitty small town with only a Wal-Mart and a new GameStop. If I preordered online from someplace like Amazon do they ship in advance so the package arrives on the street date?
When I worked at Gamestop, the original DS came in about 2 weeks early. A buddy and myself took our consoles home early, and sealed our GBAs in the boxes so the boss wouldn’t really notice weight wize. We were both working launch morning, so we were able to buy our DS Box/GBAs back before the store opened without a hitch. 😎

Thank you very much for all your support and generosity! It makes running Planet Virtual Boy even more fun. Currently the site pretty much pays for itself through some tiny text ads on the front page, but one beer or another on top can’t hurt. 😀
Playing Virtual Boy sober? Is there even such a thing?
That’s the reason so many folks get headaches from playing VB, it’s called a hangover. 😀
Playing the VB sober is like watching a 3D movie….sober.

I prefer that you donate to PV “my” Euro 😉
Done. 🙂
Come on, cheer up the pride here.
If you donate 1 Euro to PVB, I will personally pay you 1 Euro via Paypal. That makes your 1 Euro donation absolutely free. No matter what, your donation may not be what I can afford to match, I will pay you 1 Euro for every donation.
Donate 1 Euro to PVB, PM me with your donation, and I will send you a 1 Euro payment back.
I am only willing to pay back 1 Euro per donation. Just trying to help the site out. This offer applies to all of the year 2011. 🙂

I bet if the 3DS fails (Which hopefully won’t happen) they will then make references in unreleated articles, and critise the system for no reason at all like they do with the VB. Eventhough now they are talking about the 3DS like it’s the best thing on earth.
Déjà vu, eh? I’ll bet my pennies that a few reviewers dislike it because of supposed “headaches”.
Ad far as high scores go, I love Wario on VB. That’s the problem, I took my time and enjoyed the game…
I suppose any of us could waste our time going at it with a speed run, but I’d rather go for a “real” skill based highscore.
Maybe I’ll tackle a speed run at it when it’s 23 years old.
