Yeah it really is a technical feat, I can’t believe someone made this.
No, that’s the thing, padding it screwed it up for me. I had to make sure I added roms until it output a 2MB file. For some reason padding messes with this emulator. It’s no big deal though, the fact that this works at all and runs quite well for some games is amazing.

Yes it works fine. I found I had to make sure the amount of roms I injected equated to a 2MB file, but other than that works great.

I decided to use this for some signs at work =P

399 Euros seems like a lot, especially for the condition it was in.

– All my eye shades arrived fairly clean, and never had a bad smell. Not the end of the world though, as they aren’t bad to clean and you can get a replacement if it’s real bad.

– Good job, those polished up nice! I may just try that on my one with a small mark in it.

– The main board looks rough..It almost looks like flux or something around the chips, but why? Even the chips look like they are in rough shape. Almost looks like someone repaired the main board? If it works, great, but that mainboard does look rough.

– The slider and knob should be fairly easy to move, I mean you’ll feel that it’s moving something inside, but certainly not hard to move. Try and see if there are pieces rubbing. Possibly a touch of Vaseline on those rubbing points?

– Glitchy lines are common, your displays look stock, not repaired. There are a couple people on this site who can solder them for you.

I’d ask for a discount if I were you, if you’re paying nearly 400 Euro it better be in perfect condition. This certainly doesn’t appear perfect. Otherwise, I’m sure you’ll be happy with the console! It is a very cool system 🙂

Good to hear you’re making progress! I admire your tenacity for the project, to rebuild from scratch in order to make it the best you possibly can (and succeed!) is no small feat.

If it’s connected to a computer, you could have it scrape the PVB news, forums, and even the high-score lists.

That would be so cool!

Wow! Definitely the clearest look we’ve seen. Finally there’s some footage of the jumping! I always wondered how the scaling looked. Good find!

Of course not, why ship to Canada?

Cool mag though.

SD Gundam War, it was a japanese release.

What I’m more interested in that strange looking Hyper Fighting cart with the plain looking label. What is it?

To be honest, I struggled with this a lot when making the box. On one had you have it literally saying “INSMOUSE” on the damn box as well as all the translations you folks of PVB have done. But then on the other, you have a place like Wikipedia who on the VirtualBoy game list translates it to “Innsmouth Mansion”, but then you click the link of the game and they then translate it to “The Mansion of Innsmouth”… (Thanks for the consistency Wiki)

I think this game is the most misspelled Virtual Boy game in history =P. Since the English version was never released, we’ll never know what the final name for sure was going to be, but I’ve just always gone with what this website has said. Unless whoever scored the English proto steps forward with a screenshot of the title screen we won’t know for 100%.

Welcome to the site!

Those are nice looking boxes, good job. I think the planned named for Insmouse no Yakata was Mansion of Insmouse, though. At least that’s how it’s reported on this site.

If you’re looking to get boxes printed Uncle Tusk around here has printed boxes in the past. It would be worth a shot to send him a message.

Lmao, that sounds like quite the game, Ben.

I’ll take one of the spots if someone doesn’t get back within the allotted time.

If he’s making repos of games that were never released as a retail game than it’s fine. As long as you’re happy with the quality I don’t see the problem. The Space Invaders label is a bit concerning though, it’s not cool if he’s gonna make repros of the rare retail games. Especially if they’re not labeled as a repro. Also Hyper Fighting is off bounds, but the rom isn’t out in the public, so it should be ok.

Well, I’d suggest wiping with a microfibre cloth to get the smudges off. Just be very careful with the mirrors, don’t wipe too hard, just be patient. If dust persists, try a bit of air to rid the rest.

If it’s the getting to the mirrors you’re talking about, there’s this

Aah, I see he’s put it up for sale. A little rich for me =P

He was asking me how to get pictures from it, I wonder what happened with that.

Oh wow, that’s cool! I might have to check that game out.

Got mine!
It’s kind of long for a medium, but I still like it.

Edit: Ok, can’t get the picture to show up right. When you click on it it shows it right side up, and it shows right side up on my computer..

Someone got a good deal on that..
