Looks good..what’s your favorite game so far ?
Me? Jeez, it’s kind of hard to pick a favorite, it changes depending on my mood =P
My most played though are:
Jack Bros – I like the gameplay style, the graphics are nice with some cool 3D effects. One of my favorite games when it comes to the music, the soundtrack is just awesome.
Wario Land – What can I say, I’m a sucker for Mario styled platformers. This one is no slouch either, very fun!
3D Tetris – While not exactly exciting, I find it very easy to loose a bunch of time in this game. It’s like if lego and tetris had a baby.
Red Alarm – This is the game that got me collecting VB stuff in the first place. Definitely an old favorite of mine. The atmosphere and style in this game are just unmatched compared to so many games, even on other consoles.
Yeah…I could go on, as I like most of them, a lot of the games on this system are just classic gaming gold. And then throw homebrew in the mix…I’m definitely a happy camper with my VB

I’ve made a video showing off my collection.Doesn’t golfs package have a stereoscopic image on it ? maybe just making the tree’s stick out…been awhile..but I remember something about that.
Looking at my box it’s just a photo, nothing fancy
Nice video Protoman!
Here are some (messy) pics of my up to date collection.
I’m not surprised, that dude HATES the virtual boy for some reason.
No worries, we know better. The Virtual Boy rocks, and deserves more credit than it got. I mean, it came out when the original gameboy was still nintendo’s champ handheld. I’d WAY rather play my VB than original gameboy.
Honestly I like the idea of both Red and Black. Red for it’s obvious Virtual Boy awesomeness. Black for it’s more official look. Either way, I need to buy another Virtual Boy so I can make use of this cable! I’m amazed that it is actually coming to fruition. Seriously, Awesome work DogP.
Sorry man, looks like a custom one might be in order…
I can’t think of why they’d make a custom size box…except for maybe saving some money on cardboard =P
What’s weird is that Chalvo 55 seems to be different than regular Japanese Gameboy Boxes as well. Check it out next to X’s box, which is the size they usually are.
You might have to make something, unless there are more Japanese game companies that made this smaller Gameboy box as well.

I can see the blurring too. It seems like the edges of the red plastic “lens” that you look through. My guess is some people have a wider field of view than others.
I’ve just gotten used to it. If I need to see my score clearly I’ll just move my head slightly =P
Virtual Boy is SO much better than Google Glass!
Glad xkcd realizes this =P
I agree with Kri55e. Sigs are annoying, especially when people go all crazy with them.
Uh oh, going to the hospital is never fun. Hope all is well and a speedy recovery!
Nice!
Wish they had stuff like that closer to where I live!

There was some talk (I look to Ben to uncover the old threads — he is amazing at that) about custom connectors. I recall 1 person had considered 3D printing and another had uncovered a connector that seemed to be the correct fit. It would seem the connector is the most limiting factor. I was curious if anyone had more information on projects to build/adapt a solution?
I remember that too. In fact I was wondering what happened to that idea.
Brand new Chalvo 55 game. The seller has noticed how quickly these go and upped the price $8 from previous ones he sold (one to me =D). Still, hard to find without going to japanese sites that rarely ship Stateside.

Yeah the Red Alarm one was sweet!
I left a comment as well. If we let him know that people are still into the VB he might consider it a little more worthy of his time to complete it.

it’s a loose cart and cable in a baggy which kind of broke my heart when I got it but I was just so happy to finally have one I didn’t really question the lack of the proper virtual boy box, I figured he was simply trying to keep production costs down for this run.
They don’t come with a box, you have to buy them seperately
Even though the project didn’t get finished this is a great effort! Props to you man for trying =D F-Zero was a killer idea.
