The serial number should show up in whatever field you had selected. Barcodes are dead simple in function.
Yeah those are just the GB emulator put onto a cart. One of a kind games, lmao, anyone want one? Hell, I’ll even make a Mario Collection, just for you! One of a kind!!
I need to take apart a VB anyway to document/fix the displays so I’ll see if I can find that little board cause I really can’t tell what’s going on in that picture, lol.
Really hard to tell in that picture as its dark but the circled thing looks like an SMD fuse. If you could get a better picture that’d be great. If it is indeed a fuse we’ll need to get an amp rating.
Well that’s an awesome article to be out there. The answer to the question of “what you should do if you don’t have a tap” is buy an adapter tap. They are not that hard to find for a reasonable cost.
Anyway, You may be able to replace individual parts if you can determine what exactly you fried. If you can’t figure it out then get another motherboard if you can find one for a good price. And a controller. Or a banged up parts VB.
It does take more then just Uncle Tusk to make these, so it’s not like he can just up and decide to make more. He’s more packaging/distribution then cart production.
I can see why people would voice that they want one, even if it makes for a one note thread. But usually the case seems to be these are a collaboration effort, hence the scarcity of the restocks. That’s my guess anyway, could just be a cart connector supply issue or something, lol.
We all have lives, I get sometimes it’s hard to get our projects done. I suspect he’s just busy, like a lot of us. Patience, we will get them.
I don’t know if you saw this already, but the closest we got was this:

he even came to me for info and advice on NintendoAge.
Ha, that’s kinda funny, he was asking me about it on Assemblergames. Just by the way the conversation went I could tell he’s just going for top dollar and not a whole lot of interest in it other than that
Yeah, VB prototypes come up very rarely. There’s not a whole lot to go on for them. Except that one guy who wants a couple thousand for a V Baseball, but that’s a bit absurd.
Woowee, $787. Not too crazy actually as far as VB stuff can be, but still out of my price range. Anyone here get that prototype?
Production has recently stopped until further notice.
Luckily there’s the multi cart to look forward to, or keep your eyes peeled for a used one. Sounds like someone on here is selling an original flashboy. I rarely use the save feature in mine anyway, so that’s not a bad way as long as you don’t spend to much (over $100)
Damn, I was hoping this one would sneak by everyone so I’d have a chance.
Oh well, yes, it is cool to see one of these pop up.
Welcome! You’ll find it’s a good community to be a part of 🙂
Yeah there was.

There is even a dedicated thread for it in the Flashboy section

No problem!
I’ve got two VB’s I need to get solder fixed. On the one the problem only really crops up when there’s a lot of stuff on the screen, simpler scenes it seems to be unnoticeable. I definitely gotta get around to doing it though, i’ve been putting it off too long!
I love Red Alarm, it’s one of my favorite games for the system. I already have a thing for vector graphics but Red Alarm just takes them and the atmosphere to the next level, so well done!
The console really is better then people make it out to be. For something from 1995, it’s got nice crisp screens, decent graphics power and sound capabilities. It also just feels so Nintendo like =P I still really like mine, even years later.
1: The IPD knob is usually a bit stiff, or “weighty”, that’s normal.
2: It’s always a good idea to solder fix for future proofing but nothing wrong with waiting till they give you issues, or waiting until you’re ok with not using it for a while. I’d just enjoy your system for now since you just got it 🙂
3: Is the crack in the stand “medallion”? (the center part with Nintendo on it). If so, then yes, more use will make the crack worse. However, to mitigate this issue on mine I used a small black zip tie and wrapped it just under the medallion. Tighten it enough so that it takes the stress off the stand. After this you can use it without worry of making the crack worse.
Thank you! I certainly did, so relaxing, and spent a lot of time on my little boat. Loved it.
I got some time in on your game, I haven’t beat it yet, though. I will work on that =P
I must say, for a 6 week game, this is pretty varied in terms of visuals with a decent amount of gameplay. Well done! Also, the humor is awesome, I found myself chuckling at the dialogue. Finding that magazine on the shelf was definitely funny. I’ll definitely be playing again to go through and finish it now that I got all the mechanics down.
Actually, funny story, I was playing it earlier today, probably around 5:00 or so. I played for maybe 45 minutes or something. Then I got up to just take a break, and go and visit the spouse, leaving it on, using batteries. Well, good ol Sidetrack Mcgee here totally spaced cause something sidetracked me. Only visiting this site now at 11:00 I just remembered I was playing it. It was still there, humming away, lol. I was gonna keep playing, but it’s late, hence the finish it later remark. Anyway, I guess your battery optimizations worked, if it wasn’t optimized I’m sure it woulda killed my already used batteries for sure.
