I wanna see a hack with lessened difficulty as well cause I cannot ever get past the second challenger.

Teleroboxer has impressive 3D effects, it’s highly convincing.

It’s rather unfortunate that the price negates the usefulness.

I’ll definitely play it as videos have shown that the map is substantially larger then what we got in the retail version. How long do you think until it gets a reproduction?

Omg! Thank you Cpt. F. and his associate for deciding to give the rom for preservation. I look forward to trying at it out on my Pockulus Chip.

It’s probably not hard to fix the game, they can probably incorporate modified code from the release version.

I watched a video of it being played. It’s literally a 35 minute demo that resets to the beginning on a timer, no matter what (even if you save, the save file is automatically deleted).

It actually just shocked me when I saw what the average loose copy goes for on eBay.

I can’t believe what has happened to VB collecting in the last 6 years, prices have basically doubled for some games (IE: Waterworld) and went half price (IE: Virtual Fishing) for others.

It would be spectacular to play Another World in 3D! Some many games would transfer well to 3D. I still have high hopes for a Uninvited or Shadowgate style point’n’click adventure game.

I’m curious.

I wanna see the cartridge get dumped and compared with our copy. It would be truly fascinating to see if it has more features or such.

Wow, that’s amazing! Virtual Boy is getting major love on many fronts this year. You have been creating a 3D Virtual Boy emulation for 3DS, which I am stoked about. I am working on the portable stereoscopic version for PocketCHIP with another member here (that I’m not sure wants to be named as of yet.) melott124 has also been diligently working on a multicart for roms that you can write to yourself (similar to everyone’s darling the FlashBoy), with a rom dumper as well.

This is truly the year of VB!

Accurate, I literally received my copy for free from MineStorm. It was an awesome gift, then I later paid UncleTusk $20 for the new label, instructions and box. I have actually never swapped labels though because I didn’t want to damage my gift.

Thanks again for being so cool to me all these years MineStorm! I’d also like to recognize everything that Eric (bigmak) has also done for me. I honestly wouldn’t be as into the system if I didn’t meet you two.

Omg! I really want that Ms. Pac-Man, it looks amazing. I still find it amazing that Ms. Pac-Man was a fan hacking that was later purchased and turned into an official game.

I decided to give a go at Bound High!, and while gameplay is pleasant the sounds are ear bleeding. I am still attempting to figure out a fix.

I can’t wait to see the final product! You got this going and finished fairly quick.

It’s absolutely fascinating using Linux for the first time, I’ve learned interesting information that I previously wasn’t aware of. I am actually quite fond of this project.

Today was a day of success, I have the 3D functioning (occasional slowdown), the sound (a little choppy, still trying to get it a bit smoother) and controller support.

Ladies and gentleman, we have a Virtual Boy! Now I just have to patiently await the 3D printed parts.

One step down! I got PocketCHIP to finally display VB games in side by side mode, now I have to figure how to get a controller working (it’s not just plug n play). It’s not easy being a first time Linux user.

I installed Firefox on my Pocket C.H.I.P, this device is actually pretty cool; for several different reasons.

The only real way to know is to either rom dump it for comparison or just play it.

Yes, the next problem being my VB is experiencing display issues which I hope to address in the next week or two.

Then playing it and deciphering if the know bugs are present or not?

I played through several levels with no obvious issues before the display really crapped out. Though I am new to this game and was not attempting to identify bugs.

It’s an awesome game; I’ve had the pleasure of owning a reproduction since 2012, thanks to MineStorm. I am amazed that you have an actual copy of it though, as yours was actually used in the original process.

I recommend having your led screens soldered permanently, so you will never have to worry about the issue ever again.
