haha thats a good idea! i might try it, and go play waterworld in the ocean haha

nice u got ur copy now did ya thats good to hear!

im so thankful for you tellin me about the auction otherwise i wouldnt have it right now! its probably my favourite one tied with wario land lol

i recieved mine in mint condition as well – i think space squash will be worth holding on to, like all virtual boy games.

Hey i got a sega 32x, i was surfin ebay Australia looking up just ‘sega’ and noticed a megadrive with the 32x on it!

I got it for 140 bucks including postage (about 70 GBP) it came with knuckles chaotix, mortal kombat 2 several other 32x games jst cartridges all PAL versions im pretty happy… isnt knuckles chaotix PAL version quite rare? (either way im keeping it, i really wanna play the game)

im gonna sell all the megadrive games and the megadrive but il keep the 32x stuff – not long ago a 32x in australia, no cords – just the attachment, it sold for like 60 bucks!

check it out and please tell me what you think

P.S sorry about this not being virtual boy related :S

Hey my copy has arrived today, didnt take that long at all!

it is absolutely awesome and i once again thank you! it came with its box, manual, the game, everything it is meant to have! i’m very pleased and it definitely does not look like a fake version to me!

the games very long and god damn are those bosses a challenge to hit!

once again thank you.

here is a picture of what was given to me

oh dear that isnt good about the virtual boy, when i got mine it was about a week later before the right eye glitched out, it was the ribbon in the right eye.

Me and my dad made a screwdriver (there is a guide about it on this site somewhere, i beleive its in the forums) this screwdriver allowed us to open up the virtual boy, once we opened it we de-attached the ribbon and we used a very very fine sandpaper to graze away the plastic coating on the tip of the ribbon where it needed to be soldered, coated the part with solder put it back in and it worked, its either use a very very fine sandpaper to graze the coating of plastic on the ribbon cable to re solder it or a few other methods.

once again there is a guide and a few websites that will have guides on how to open it etc.

HAHAHAHAHA that picture is hilarious, i havnt seen such a tower of sega consoles and games! i got all of that apart from the sega 32x, mega cd model 1 (got 2nd model) and the megadrive game genie, i got the rest. You’ve encouraged me to obtain these items and do the same thing, thats really cool and funny at the same time! – cant do that with consoles these days!

hah your name is mathew as well? that’s pretty cool, all the people i know have 2 T’s 😀 i think mathew is unique haha.

what are your favourite games for the sega 32x?

once again thank you for the picture, i just got my sega megadrive model 1 and put the sonic and knuckles cart on then the master system converter then a sega master system cart! haha!

Nice, u got a sega 32x! i wanna get one of them, it seems all the unique systems seem to fail..

Virtual boy didnt do so well
Vectrex didnt do so well

both start with V, both unique, both didnt do so well. and i own both of them! Both have 3D elements (vectrex 3D imager, virtual boy is 3D)

What a coincidence lol

By the way, i would love to see a picture of tones of Sega 32x’s attached on top of each other, would it still work if you had say a sega 32x attached to the sega mega drive (genesis), then a sega 32x attached onto another sega 32x so on and so on till you put a cartridge on the top?

Cool, thanks for that!

Nice bargain, 20 bucks for all that, sheesh i payed around 10 bucks each for marios tennis and teleroboxer lol

whats the wario land demo like ?

is the wario land demo different to the original, or is the demo just one level or two levels of the actual wario land game?

Darn, oh well, it got released late in the virtual boys life though didnt it?

hey VBrulez let me know when your game arrives, il tell you when it comes for me as well

lol yeah, im from Australia so may take a week or two but its nothing new when the virtual boy games and system originated from USA and Japan – all my stuff has been from there apart from a few boxed jap games i got from an australian and galactic pinball for gee it was like 4.00 AU and 2.00 AU for postage lol i was pleased with that as well

out of curiosity does anyone know how well space squash sold when it was released? do you know KR155E? Your the master of this site and one of the biggest virtual boy fanatics i have seen lol

so VBrulez you haggled the buy it now with best offer and they still accepted it? this person either had no idea, wanted the cash, god knows what but it does happen

yeah it is the same game, it wont bother me, i dont plan on selling it!

you’ve made my day today and yeah just thank you, i normally look up virtual boy on ebay everyday but ive got most of the games i want and i just would never expect someone to put space squash up for a cheap price so that i would buy it lol

i bought wario land jap version from a guy in japan, very nice japanese people are, it was packaged to perfection they definitely wanted a positive transaction

guess we can only wait and see now hey!

You Genius!!!!!! WOW!!!

Haha i bought the other one buy it now as soon as i saw your post, im glad they shipped worldwide! This is my favourite game and was the first i played on the VB emulator, i couldnt careless if it is a fake, (usually if its too good to be true it probably is) but y’know i mean they got good feedback anyway, i just wanted to play the real thing on a VB but it was too expensive!!

suprised you didnt buy both of them and sell one!

I thank you for posting this, i truly am greatful, Space Squash has been one of my most wanted games!

im suprised they had more then 1 for sale as well 😀

Also

Does anyone know how well any of these 3D systems, add ons and accessories went?

How well did the sega master system glasses go? etc

im assuming the vectrex 3d imager didnt go to well considering the vectrex didnt last to long before the 1983 videogame crash.

The vectrex 3D imager is heaps expensive, does anyone have it? id love to see a video on youtube, a review – or anything about the 3d imager, ive only seen pictures. Does it give a good 3d effect?

Do you think it would have been possible to create the virtual boy as a pair of glasses (similiar to the sega master system glasses) and it had a piece of hardware that you place the cartridge in and then hook that to your TV (also allowing it to have colour)??

Hope this isnt to many questions and enjoy reading! would love your comments!

wasnt the virtual boy red also because it was a bright colour, a blue colour wouldnt be bright enough to see the picture unless a backlight or whatever light was in the console

Hey thats awesome, i actually didnt know! lol

thanks for letting us know, i shall play my virtual boy today and those games…

come to think of it, teleroboxer, mario tennis, galactic pinball and red alarm are probably my favourite VB games… wario land being the best though lol.

the virtual boy did have a good bunch of games released with it on the day i have to say.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VB!

Awesome! – congratulations, i cant wait to see your collection 😀

i love the box art, especially the back (bottom right hand corner)

“licensed by Nintenndo”

I have a question about that typo, what kind of rush were they in to not double check that?

– Did they just rush the box art because the Virtual Boy was going to be discontinued very soon so they got it in shelves as fast as possible?

congratz on getting a virtual boy!

i have to agree with badboybubby. get space squash!! great fun! although its a tad expensive im sure it shouldnt bother you if you’ve got insmouse!!

The new carts will be interesting , one day i will have to buy a flashboy lol

on that note KR155E i see you got space squash for sale, im from Australia and I will see how it goes might give it a bid.

Man those boxes for the flashboy look awesome, i like the inside part that holds the cartridge as well! good work and the artwork all over the box really gives it that virtual boy feel!

They look exactly like a box for a virtual boy game that you would see back in the day in the store! 🙂

Lol i had to use google translator to find out what you guys were saying..

i really wanna buy space squash it was the first game i ever played *on a emulator, before i got a vb* and i was amazed about the depth of the room and that its fun!

How come its price is different in japan and germany?

is it because the game was released in japan?
