This kind of thing is way over my head.
I didn’t mean to be mean or anything like that, you just needed to be a little clearer on your thoughts (the way it was written made it sound like one of them ‘type, press send then think’, postings), I did have the almost exact same thought when i first got my VB, could a 3D movie be displayed using the VB, the answer is a very tentative yes, with a lot of work and probably frame rate drop.

Fav N franchise, tough one, I’m partially with VJ here, Metroid, most of the way, thats 2D Metroid, not the 3D. I have played some of the 3D metroids but just not as much fun as the original, IMO, I did like Metroid pinball too.
Mario always delivers, 2D or 3D, and mucho fun had from all.
Zelda, again delivers the goods in fun doses, 2D or 3D.
But I think the franchise that has done it everytime is Mario Kart, total fun single player, epic multiplayer mayhem……….so for me its Mario Kart.

It is a shame we can’t see the mpo while browsing with our 3DS, but it could be to do with the specific site as I have checked out 3Dporch.com and that does allow the viewing of an mpo directly as you browse, tap the link and it then opens the image on the top screen in glorious 3D, but only if its not too big resolution.
I have not uploaded anything to 3Dporch so i don’t know if the 3DS only uploads the jpg, but you can def view their library of mpo’s in 3D, with limitations.

Why did your file come up as a Jpeg? Is that what happens when you attach an MPO file here?

That would be cool if its something Chris needs to do and can do, but i have not managed to check doing it again on my 3DS.
As far as why a jpeg, thats just what it did when i tried, there could be an option to do the mpo not jpg, I will check again.
I hope it does work in the future cos really i only want to share & show photos with/to fellow VB freaks. 😀

I did read that for DOA its 60 fps in 2D and 30 fps in 3D, so you would get an advantage in 2d by having more cycles per second to get the combo presses inputted, not my thoughts just copying what i have read.
I don’t own DOA so don’t know how much of an advantage it would be.

I’ve not found many FPS problems, only Ridge Racer in certain parts does it lag when pressing nitro, but minimal really. I have started playing RR in 2D mostly now, i was finding as the races have got harder i end up twisting the 3DS in my hands at hectic times and get double images etc. I seem to do better in 2D, it is nicer looking in 3D and you get the ‘rushing’ sense better so for shear fun i re-race in 3D once completed and won etc. Wish they had implemented an online race option for RR, just have to hang til MK is out, DS MK online was mucho fun, Wii even better so I’m eager for 3DS MK.
Now if only i could watch some 3D trailers…… 😀

I have not downloaded all trailers, maybe the UK not getting same stuff as US, i noticed you had a 3D vid of animal crossing, did N send that to you in the update, or did you download from somewhere cos i can only see Zelda OOT as a 3D trailer in the eShop.
I saw someone post on another site that they were viewing MGS snake eater trailer in 3D, could be BS but if not i want to see these too.

Updated this morning, not too slow, i just set it going while i showered, was done when i checked 10 min later, then downloaded Exitebike, no problems in UK.
Quite a neat little 3D’izing of an old game.

Gonna get to the wifi spot at work during lunch and download the trailers and all other free content i see.

Personally, I’d rather have a 3DS than Gundam any day, but then I’m not a collector and can play Gundam on flashboy so not really a fair comment.

Neither are screwed, or gonna lose out badly to the other, IMO, they both play games but thats kinda where the similarity ends.

Both always gonna have die hard fans, maybe in these times enough fans to keep them viable for longer if only the fans ever bought them.

But at the end of the day if the accountants don’t like the figures then yes we are screwed, and i really don’t like accountants (no personal offense meant to any accountant gamer VB fans, one day you will see the light (a red one) and stop worrying about money & costs, its all made up figures anyway), erm, rant over 😀

DH, man that would send everyone into a twitching frenzy just waiting for it to pop through the letterbox, let alone when the title screen graces our eyes, needless to say I’d have one.
I would still like a BH cart but can’t get sorted to get a couple of donors, so have to keep flashing the FB, I’ll keep a look out for donors in the mean time so if ever another batch is decided upon I’ll be ready, or for DH.

Yeah folks here seem pretty decent & honest, a question though, did you put anything inside the BH carts, maybe just a mark on the pcb with ‘repro’ or something just so if one does appear on ebay its easy enough to have checked?

A stunning bit of homebrew hardware, very well modified and implemented, if i had anything along those lines i would def give it a go, but i don’t.

I will now keep my eyes open for similar type of objects that could be utilized as I’m rather envious of your creation.

Thanks fellas, both your answers match up and i seem to recall having that right is + in my head when looking at the rear, but i needed confirmation.
