I’d really like to see this, too. it’s been a good few months since anything major has happened on terms of homebrew projects, and several have been canceled or postponed over time. I’m unfortunately amateur at coding, so i’m not sure if I could work on a project quite yet other than maybe spritework. =c

Having an RPG on the Virtual Boy would be sweet or maybe a Mega Man game like an improved version of Rockman & Forte: Challenger from the Future.

I remember a user on Starmen.net made a re-skin for Earthbound to make it look like it was on the virtual boy. I’d personally find it quite exciting to see my favorite RPG re-made for the ol’ Black and Red.

Lots of obscure thing I never heard of. And I never realized how few Atari Jaguars were out there! And to think I found one complete in box just last night! … Not that it worked. =c

It’s nice to note that they were respectful of the VB in a sense, although I always argue about how subjective the “Headache” excuse is. I’ve shown the VB to my entire game club at college and only one person had a legitimate problem with it.

Gee, I gotta admit this is a lot for my head! I’ve only just started learning about hardware functions, so a lot of this went over my head and I had to wiki it. This is some very interesting information, however. I appreciate all your input, Guy!

yess! Directly connecting to the computer sounds much better! Now if only we could get that link cable project over with… We could easily make a USB device that way.

I’ve been especially interested in Panic Bomber’s OST. I’m sure there’s gotta be some way to extract the sound files.

On another note, the entire Red Alarm OST is on youtube since you mentioned wanting that, Cauterize.

Toughie. I like all the ones I own, and I have more coming in the mail soon (inmouse and jack bros)

I’d definitely say that if I were to make a top 5 in no specific order…

Wario Land
Red Alarm
Panic Bomber
Telero Boxer
Vertical Force

Hook me up with a cart, too. I’ll be sure to wait anxiously on your website on the 20th!

A neat idea! Although I must ask, how are you going to differentiate types of wood/ore?

Go you! I wanted to do that, but the con I normally went to was cancelled.. Every year more and more hyperactive girls were coming anyways, so it probably would’ve been a similar experience to what you had.

Anyways, I did similar at college this year! I got at least 20 people to play it in total and out of everyone who played, only 1 had a problem with it… although I felt bad because it literally made his eye bleed. =S

I’d totally nab this if I wasn’t trying to finish my Wii-U payment. I hope all the pre-orders don’t go out before I can get in line!

I second that, Ben. The blue looks gorgeous! Purple doesn’t look as great as I thought it would.

I actually rather like this color, although red shows the detail better imo. In general it would be cool if we could change the color scheme on the Virtual Boy. I’d love some purple 😉

Being a pokemon fan I absolutely love this idea! Even if it weren’t a remake, a pokemon game in general would be cool! Would encourage the Link Cable project more, too. 😉 Or so I would think.

p.s. if a remake of red were made, please at least fix some of the bugged battle mechanics.

Oh, yay! The moment I saw there was one medium left I snagged it! I can’t wait for it to come in! The guys at college are gonna hate me. =P

Great video as always! I have yet to get my flashboy, but I’m planning to sometime after I get my wii-u. I really hope some better development tools will be available in the future, because these projects look good!

I love how for the most part the video gives NO legitimate excuses to why the product actually failed. I Highly doubt the guy even played any of these consoles…

I also love how they used Red Alarm as the example for a game from the virtual boy. That’s an example of what GOOD it had going for it if anything.

I like how immersive the 3D is. I personally only got mine in the past 3 months, but I very much enjoy every game I’ve bought for it so far. It’s truly a piece of eye candy when you’re playing. In fact, I personally like the Virtual Boy’s 3D better than the 3DS for the fact it brings you in rather than it coming to you.

I also love how unique the hardware is. It was ahead of its time. It’s just a shame that the final product isn’t truly ‘final’ since production was rushed for the N64. I wonder how the Virtual Boy would’ve been if Yokoi got to finish it.

D’oh. What a shame. I’m a Medium and all that’s left is Large. Is there really no way to make a couple more in that size? I’d be willing to pay extra.
