Yes I know, I’m a strange, strange, little enthusiast 😀

Have you even played a Virtual Boy yet?
Strip Virty of his packaging and plug a cart in him. We live in very liberal times. Be VB and proud even if your father despises you for it, he’s a dying breed. 😛

Not an auction, but these do seem to be good prices (some Japanese VB games):

If you’re getting some “malicious page” warning from your browser, ignore it. It’s a false positive.

Good prices. Wish I hadn’t purchased most of those recently.

Check this out, saw it in a 6 month old expired classified ad. Was only $40. 🙁

the Mexican USA-carts with Spanish instructions (instruction sheet and the locale sticker on shrinkwrap being unique)?

I bought my 3 boxed USA games (Teleroboxer, Mario Clash, VB Wario Land) from a mexican seller in eBay. The boxes and carts seem to be the same as in standard USA games, but in addition to the usual content, they have a printed paper sheet with shortened game instructions and warranty specifications in spanish for mexican buyers. I don’t know if it is that RidingHero says. I’ve submitted a scan of this sheet (from Teleroboxer) as if that were interesting.

Yes, and it’s cool stuff. 🙂

lol

For sure, coolest Micro of all time.

>:( It’s a shame that Mother 3 never got a US release. >:(

I give the extra two hotdogs to my dog.

and as e5frog said, try to insert and remove the game from your VB unit firmly multiple times. If that doesn’t work, get a drop or two of electronics cleaner in the cart pinout, repeat the same process, and make sure you give enough time for the cleaner to dry off inside the cart and VB console. I’ve never seen a truly dead VB cart that wasn’t physically damaged to begin with.

Every once in awhile I’ll lie in bed on my back for those sleepy VB sessions. The only bother to me is the weight of the VB unit pushing the edges of the eye-shade against my face.

I have the same problem on one of my VB units. No solution as of yet?

Play the darn thing, but be mindful to not damage any of the packaging. Nothing like the smell of putting your face up to a brand new VB.

Plus, you already took it out of the box and assembled it once. It’s technically not new anymore anyway. 😉

Have you ever played *any* Virtual Boy before?

Oh, and be sure to get yourself an AC Adaptor Tap. The VB sucks the juice out of batteries like no other.

You might also want to consider getting a Flashboy so you can enjoy all the homebrew games and also try out all the expensive games before you shell big bucks out for them.

I have 2 US Mario’s Tennis carts that are marked 09, and another US Mario’s Tennis cart marked 19.

lol, Tissue Paper dispenser? 😀

Yes, it’s because the paper is old. For a long time Nintendo USA still sold new 3 packs of printer paper, you might want to check with them. The rolls of paper came sealed in individual plastic baggies, I’m unsure if that helped preserve it but it might be worth a shot buying some NOS paper.

Hello and welcome to the forums. 🙂

These forums have a wealth of information, and the vast majority of members are friendly and helpful.

I wish you the best of luck with your collection. While Mario’s Tennis is a fun little game, you absolutely must play around with a few more games. Wario is fantastic, Vertical Force is an enjoyable shmup, and Red Alarm is an affordable Star-Fox like game with very immersive 3D feel. Aside from WaterWorld, I doubt you would dislike any of the titles on the platform. A lot of folks also dislike Virtual Lab, but I find it to be a cool little puzzle game so what do I know? 😀

And just to get it out of the way, if you have problems with your VB display being glitchy, please search these forums and you can learn how to repair it and/or find some members here that offer to do the repairs.

As for prototypes, even if one was to surface, plan on selling your car to afford it. 😛

GabrielHanson2000, it’s not so polite to spam other people’s selling threads. Either $75 from that Goat store or $80 from a forum member is a fantastic price for a Blockbuster case, if the stickers are in good shape. If you stopped to notice, GoatStore lists it as having a poor label.

Unless someone is selling counterfeit items, or is a known scammer, please be a gentleman and mind your own business if you aren’t interested in an item posted in the PVB Marketplace.

Anyway, if the label is good, please send me a PM jojo. Thanks. 🙂

Site donation are of course always welcome. 😉

20 Euro donation sent your way KR155E! 🙂
Please let me know if you feel that’s reasonable.

My serial on my beat up box is #273, my cart will be much happier sleeping in a new home. 😎

Do these count?
(Please don’t beat me up)

Sure, I’m not a hater. 😛

I bought my Flashboy used on eBay, and sadly the old owner trashed the box a bit. I wish I had some donor carts to send your way, but unfortunately I have given all my extra loose carts to other gamer friends in hope that they’ll get into VB.

Maybe would you consider a small site donation?

Also, just curious, is it your handwriting for the serial numbers? As a collector, I wouldn’t have the heart to write the serial number in myself on my replacement box! lol 🙂

I got my first VB brand new on August 14th 1995. 😎
