I don’t know how rare this is or if the price of ok or not, but I saw the mention of Virtual Double Yakuman.
Also a couple of NFR Japanese Mario Clash CIB’s for what looks like a good price

I don’t have to hold mine, it works like normal.
You won’t be disappointed, it’s a great game!
I don’t think I’ll ever own a CIB US Jack Bros. All the ones I’ve seen have been too rich for my blood.
Good job, must be cool to have a complete US collection.
Yeah there was one on Pawn Stars. It had a glitchy display but they didn’t seem to notice and bought it anyway.

When I was reading all the talk on here about how easy it is to open and repair it, I was already thinking that a lot more people would be interested. But I think the seller was reading along with you guys and fixed it.
That is the problem with this good community, others try and abuse the helpfulness it seems 🙁Is there a way to make certain parts only accessible to long time and frequent posters here? That would potentially solve that problem.
I didn’t even think of that. Still not sure what’s up with magically finding the key. I thought the first one was a ‘fishing auction’

Yeah the global shipping program is already becoming a huge pain in the ass – it’s not workable for me but some people insist on it – I have to stand my ground and not use it, it’s got all sorts of problems from missing packages to stupidly long wait – plus those import charges don’t necessarily go to government either – they go to the company handling the service. I’m not at all comfortable with that.
The global shipping program seems like a cash grab to me. I usually avoid items that use it, since I’ve never once had to pay import charges when I buy items that aren’t on that program.

I had considered bid on this…but I must always ad shipping costs to germany 200$ plus import charges 19%.
It’s too much… 🙁
Ehh, they took the ad down and reposted it as working and with a key for another 10 days of bidding. Seems fishy to me, and pretty much sealed the deal in me not being able to afford it. Before it had like 1 or 2 days left and it was at $300. Now it has 7 days left and its already at $550. So yeah, not happening..
It does sound like the game cartridge batteries. They wear out over time, regardless of how much the cartridge gets used.
And yes, the display cables are held on with glue. Again, not so much with how you handle your unit, it’s just an age thing and the glue deteriorates. There’s even been instances where old stock of units that never got opened had the display issues, so it just happens. That being said I’ve been extremely lucky, both my units still function fine, although I might have to mail my displays to Runnerpack as a “just in case” thing.
Awesome, thanks for the help guys 🙂 Sounds like no big deal then. I’ll definitely be enlisting Runnerpack to do my displays, even if they are working for good measure. We’ll see how this goes, though.
Well it looks like I’m the highest bidder for now..
Curious though, since it’s missing the key, how much is that going to hamper things?
I’m pretty sure it won’t be hard to get this going, It’s pretty much just the one light and the power to the VB, right? Just curious what I could possibly be getting myself into.
Ships to Canada?!?!
*bid*
wow 🙂
Holy crap that would be cool to have…I might have to start playing the lottery..
Wow, that is really cool, great job to all those involved! Also congrats to all the contestants who entered, that’s a sweet surprise!

The trick is to jump over either one of the two spike balls. You’ll notice the boss’s mace thing doesn’t reach that far. It’s literally the only safe place where you won’t get hit.
Ooooh, I didn’t know that. I’m gonna have to try it, thanks!
Its very tricky even with dashing. Its mainly his head-mace thing that gets me, he swings it at you 3 times but in a much quicker succession than the normal game. Its hard for me to jump, land, change direction, dash and jump again to avoid the next one. Maybe I shouldn’t be jumping, I just figured I had to jump to get out of the way in time..

I’ve beaten the normal quest, but I can’t get past the first boss on the second quest. He moves too fast for me to avoid him..

It’s hard to think that Bound High went unreleased and so few have played it.
I think its sad, it looks like a lot of effort was put into that game, only to have it canceled after basically completing it. Must have been devastating for such a small game company. They obviously had to rush the gameboy game to try to recoup something, which I don’t think worked out for them.
Season 3 episode 9 on Frasier they show the virtual boy box when they’re in the toy store
Oh cool, didn’t know about that one. Thanks!
