DogP’s questions need to be answered before we can really help you. Though I can tell you one thing, sometimes the displays only work for a very short while and then they lose their connection to the display boards and show nothing while the VB still works. What were you doing when your VB supposedly stopped working?

Yeah and I think the VB is too heavy to strap on your head as well and clearly Nintendo thought so as well considering the stand is needed to play it 😉
All kidding aside, I really think it is too heavy.
I think a good head mounted VR system will have the battery on the back of your head (neatly covered in the strap) to balance things out and prevent the head unit from getting too heavy.
With current technology I think the front head unit shouldn’t have to be more than 100 grams if done right.

That would be something only Nintendo could release, while I like the idea, it would never be something that is really viable. The gamepad is just way too heavy to strap it on your head.
Though Nintendo always releases the weirdest add-ons.

Then you haven’t repaired them, baking is just a temporary solution and the glitches will certainly return.

While they are illegal, I am 100% sure that all the Flashboy owners here have all the ROMs nonetheless! Don’t be so hypocritical please. The reason this site does not host the ROMs is especially because of fear of a shutdown due to the hosting. That is something I do not want to happen of course!

But to treat a new member to this community this way is very sad. I have always liked the community here, but this is not how I remember it to be to be honest.

If you want those ROMs you unfortunately have to look elsewhere.

Where are you from? And since you already tried the oven trick, I assume you can send the displays without the VB head unit itself, saves a lot in shipping costs 😉

If you have the right screw driver the VB is very easy to open. Especially changing the lenses does only require a minimum effort. I meant to say that it would have been interesting if the VB would have come with exchangeable lenses by default though.

Ahhh, a trip down memory lane, high school! Lol, well, this actually should be working like you say, though I think the brightness will get hurt by using different color filters, it still might be a cool effect.

Unfortunately, yes….. this is the bane of the VB, the glitchy display, but when you get them fixed, there is no problem at all and it is the best system ever ;).

I would say yes, but be clear that this is a one time thing and after the additional two months it will really be over.

It is one of my favorite VB games! I love this one, very solid game and perfect 3D effect!

Ahhhh well, I agree that it is not the worst console ever, it just suffered a very bad fate, though it could have been a great console except for its unportableness, though that could have been solved with a redesign.

I think it is one of the best consoles even though it flopped, it was just released too early in more than one way. People were scared that their eyes would get destroyed, total BS if you ask me, it wasn’t portable enough and it wasn’t in color.

Wario Land really showed the system had potential, but the consumer disagreed. Now the 3DS is a succes, with the same drawback if you consider the hurting your eyes part….

It is really hard nowadays to get a business up and running, let alone keep it viable for a longer time. So, yes, I would help them out and test it, maybe they will help you later along the way.

Switch out the left and right lens and you will see that the problem is not with the lens. I am assuming you are switching out the red protection piece, if not and you are talking about the actual clear lenses, then just swap the left display for the right display and you will come to the same conclusion. You could do that anyway, but switching out the red eye pieces is easier than the displays.

In my case it was the plastic part of the eyeshade! I removed it and at night went into a room that was pitch black, gone were the blurry corners. Try it and you might come to the same conclusion.
