I would love to be able to play the version of snake that goes with this rad birthday story; can you post the rom here for us KR155E?
🙂

This is very good news! I’ve wanted a repro of space pinball for a while now! 😀

I have a question concerning the inside of the box; will there be an area made to hold the cartridge?
Or will the prints be of the box “shell” only?

Put me down for a combo as well; this looks great!

I used to “try” these out for some time in walmart when they were new, and I recall them being quite fun! The one I recall most is tank assault..ahh sweet nostalgia.

Memories aside, I am now interested in purchasing them all.
However I am finding it quite difficult to find much information online.
I can only recall three of them (but maybe that was all that was released) :
Tank Assault
Sub Assault
Stealth Assault

Do any of you have any of them/can record a video or take some pictures of them when they’re on?

Wow, I really like the music!

I’m quite envious, Mr. G…I would love to be friends with the owner of this cart so I could play it!

I’ve played pretty much every US released title, as well as all of the Euro exclusives and a lot of the Japanese exclusives, and I can say some of the BEST games are very expensive, namely Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru and Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Keeping that in mind, though, there are some great titles that can be purchased for fair prices:
Two that spring to mind as titles that I think SS owners should play are NiGHTS Into Dreams (and it’s Christmas demo counterpart), Guardian Heroes, as well as the strategy RPG Dragon Force.

It should be noted that NiGHTS into Dreams has been ported to the PS2 in Japan and it is hitting Xbox Live as well, but I find myself pulling out the old saturn to play it. Guardian Heroes is another game that got ported to Xbox Live.

And of course, there also exists the only home console release of the original House of the Dead, which was what inspired me to purchase a saturn in the first place. (Graphically, it is sub par to the Arcade release, but still enjoyable).

I would also recommend Astal, Panzer Dragoon II, Daytona USA CCE and Saturn Bomberman.
Saturn Bomberman, it should be noted, is one of the greatest releases in the series.

And if you are a fan of vertical and horizontal side scrolling shoot em ups, the saturn is a haven for them.
Radiant Silvergun is the most widely known, but my favorite by far is Soukyugurentai.

It yields a great and unique game-play experience, one that feels rather exclusive upon those of us that have given it a true chance to see how grand it really is. Plus the red and black colors are rather invigorating!

Just tried the newest version on my FB+ and I think it’s coming along great! It’s a lot of fun, and the graphics are really impressive.
I do inquire though, will there be a release with the in game story/text translated into English?

Way to go on your purchase!
It looks super cool!

Remember the episode of Pawn Stars that had a VB brought onto it a while back?
Seems they finally put the console on ebay.
Kinda silly price, if you ask me 😛

Rad, thanks for re-uploading the rom!
Just finished a play through on my FlashBoy, and it is great fun!
I nearly like the different tables better than those that were released with GP.
‘Tis a good day to be a VB fan with a FlashBoy 🙂

Well, consider this to be my contribution to the site, Jojobean sold it to me, or better said, ripped me off on it with Bound High at the time.

Enjoy it!

Wow, now this got me excited! What a rad contribution to the VB community!

Though whenever I download the file, it comes down with the name “Space Pinball Prototype (J) [!].vb” but with a size of 0 bytes.

Perhaps a re-upload is needed?

This one caught my eye; it is for 4 sealed games BUT these particular copies were for sale in Mexico, and include those Spanish print out instructions.

What I was thinking of doing, since I run a print shop, is making the boxes and manuals and then offering the pair up on here for anyone willing to pay the shipping cost.

Just wondering, did the plans go through for this, or is it on hiatus?
I would love to have a box/manual to go with my Bound High cart.

@Virtual_Ben:

Check this link out:

Although I’m not 100% positive how they currently deal with them, I’d say you should email Rich directly to buy one!

Ah, the 16th anniversary here in the States!
That’s all the impetus I need to bring out the console and give it a play after a 2 month hiatus ^_^

What a stunning job you did! It looks beautiful;

Let’s see…
shrimp sauteed in butter/garlic sauce, some rice, some peas, and and some fried bananas for dessert!

My cart just came in yesterday (Saturday), and it is amazing! Thanks again for the awesome work, MineStorm; I shall cherish it!

Now to look into making a box and manual…
