Only tried the game on emulator so didnt hear the sound but I have said what I think can be added to the game
In the homebrew scene I do admit many games I would never play more then once/year (at most) but there are some nice homebrew games like blox 2, vb racing, mario vb, tron…
Its not really the theme of the games that I dont like, its more about the modes and how short some games are
Any game can be fun in the long run if it has levels, not really for games that only have 1 level but where you can get points
still looking forward to the competition because the creator of the demo yeti3D said he is working on something special for the competition
haha yeah I dont lie
I accept this if he will make better games in the future, learning is the key but this game would in my opinion be rank high
I am not anti all because even the tron game is an example of a very basic game but that has some nice features that does make ir a ok game
The 3D intro and the text before you start are really good ideas that was in the tron movie
Just saying that its good he makes games to learn but if he had something unique in this game it would in my opinion be good enought to actually want to put on the vb
Even if the game would only be like 5 in a row but where there are maybe 100 squares and you can change the computer from easy, normal, hard then in my opinion it would be fun
To be honest I think if atleast 3 or more games are made in the competition then your game will not win
It is not a game you want to play more then 10 min and in my opinion it is not good enought game to actually take the time to put on your vb when you can just play the game on a normal piece of paper
Would have been fun thought if someone would help you finish it because with the right stuff it can be cool
-Moving sprites on the X and O
-Option you can choose your music
-A mode wuth 5 in a row
-Nice 3d backgrounds
-A story mode where every level is 1 game but the harder it gets the bigger and more you need to get (example level 1=3 in a row but level 20=10 in a row
Anyways it is good you learn so you will make better and better games
Lets hope you add alot of nice features for the game because as it is now its very boaring
SOME IDEAS (some might be to hard for you)
-3D intro, a basic 3D intro like Tron will do find
-Music, you can use the music player that was made on the other vb competition back in 2008
-Some nice backgrounds like blox 2 has
-2 players
-Choose music (a bit like tetris where you got 3+ songs to choose from)
-Choose symbols (instead of just X and O you can choose many sysmbols, a bit like in panic bomber)
-Make the symbols move (like in panic bomber)
Example, the X and O would shake a bit as if it was dancing but not walking so to speak

Anyways good luck and lets see what you and for that matter other people do for fun games
when I think of the vb I just think of a system you can playin the dark so for me I dont care if the vb only has 100 2D games because playing games in the dark that can fit on nes still feels unique and cool (=
To bad people didnt notice the flashboy sooner since u have to wait more and more for every batch
Also I got my flashboy I think in august 2008 and it was 70-75 euro, now it is 90 euro
ps. the flashboy worked 100% perfect but sadly about 3-8 month later one eye piece got lines and I dont have tools to fix it so havnt played my vb in over 1 year
Only problem was that nesters funky bowling didnt work on the flahboy but not the end of the world
If I am not mistaken on april 1 2009 krisse made a post and said he had been working on a game for like a year and he was releasing it for us
If I am not wrong it was castlevania or metroid
Turned out the so called game was just an image in vb format
