I am nice when it is due
Most homebrew games are ok in the aspect its hard work coding them but for us gamers not so good
Sure many games could be very good once they are finished, sadly they are just left as demos

Blox 2 is an example of a very good homebrew game, not my style maybe but atleast it wasnt just rushed in a day or half finished
It even has some nice features like the one where you can choose languages and one of them is Swedish 🙂

So yeah, maybe make a game that has 20 mini games in it and incude things like worms… and it would be ok

On the side not thought I hear some games in the coding competition is being worked so thats good even if personaly the 3 games I want to see 100% finished is the yeti3D, mario Vb and the VB Mario kart game

Is it just me that think the link cable is a bad idea?
I mean there is harldy any 2 player games at all

Maybe people should make a game that has like 10+ mini games in it but all are only 2 player mini games

The game I really want to see ironicly is Brutal Sports Football but unlike the atari jaguar version I want soccer instead of american football

Its an atari jaguar game where you can use swords and the like to kill you oponents players 😛

Would be really fun and the red is good as blood
The opponents are winning so you break the goal keepers arms 😛

The referee gave your player a red card for killing opponent so you use opponents dead bodies head to kick it at referee

Ok so I downloaded the new cfg file and now it works
Start was G

Still no idea how to change controlls, add sounds… but atleast that dame emulator is working

Its only danb games (yeti3d, hunter) that use this emulator because all the other vb homebrew work fine with redragon/reality boy and the few games like golf are not good enough for me to take alot of time to learn mednafen, oh well

One thing I dont like about the game hunter is that its very hard to see where you are from the mini map

thats why I said someone please make anoob tutorial because I suck

I got 0.9 and when I drag vb rom to mednafen.exe it starts but goes to “read instruction booklet…” then whatever I press it wont start

I get all these weird things from F1 where I get some menu and then I found out T was for command line but what to write

Why could it not be so easy just load game, F1 for controls and it would work just find

c:\documents and settings\nihongo1>”mina dokument\mednafen\mednafen.exe” “mina dokument\vbroms\hunter.vb”

will not work and dragging roms wont work, oh well jusy have to wait and play on hardware after all its only yeti3d and hunter that needs that specific emulator to work 100%

Dont expect me to help out, sorry but I thought I might as well throw in some game ideas even if some of them might be very hard to do
Also many ideas might be weird but after all the NDS has loads of them and who said the vb has to have just action packed games, puzzles games and sport games
Also sorry if the list is long but atleast you get many ideas that can be done on the vb if people want to do it that is 😛

-lol: lack of love clone (yes the game on sega dreamcast)

-Dragonball (fighting game or rpg)
Dont really see goku from dragonball in a 1st person shooter killing aliens ^^

-City simulation
A mix between shenmue on sega dreamcast and the GTA series
A) You walk around town and can talk to people, steal cars and drive around
Maybe add missions or just points for the number of people you can kill with many different weapons and the likes
B) Just walk around the town and help others with normal things like taking old lady over road, help women carry heavy stuff, deliver mail to people… and you gain points

– A clone of the sega dreamcast game crazy taxi

-Other simulation games
A) Being lion in Africa trying to kill 1 of 10000 zebras to feed your family
B) Train simulation, you drive a train (yes there is a train simulation on sega dreamcast only released in Japan so not that boring as it sounds even if you cant kill people)

-Dead rising clone (but without taking photos)
Your in shopping mall killing zombies for points and can use any item you see
Example throw chairs, tables, CDS and the like

-Sport games
More realistic tennis game, football (be it american football or what the americans call soccer), ping pong/table tennis, olympic game (just like the olympics with swimming, running…), snow game (be it skiing, snowbording, ice skating…), realistic car racing game, volleyball, surfing on lava (Vb is red after all and if you fall you die :-P), poker/casino, domino….

-A simulation game where you teach people things
A) A video that plays on hardware that shows in detail how to make a vb game but that also has some kind of quiz, mini games and the likes to make it more interactive
B) Same as A but for learning languages

Well the ideas are endless if you think about it
More interactive games like sims, my little big planet and the likes could be made on the Vb I think if many people go together
After all the hunter vb game is very good and someone else works on making 40+ chars interactive, someone on sound… and it could work

Finally someone is making a side scroller shmup game, sweet

All the vb needs now is a first person fps game (a full yeti3D game so to speak) and a RPG game but released on catridge with save for us who only have flashboy but not flashboy plus 🙂

Sorry akumie… I guess when you hang around geeks all day you assume everyone knows how to use the command line. What version of Windows are you using? If you’re on XP, you should be able to find “Command Prompt” under Accesories in the start menu.

what Accesories?
I open start manu but find no Accesories, just kontrollpanel, run…

I did put all the roms in the same file as mednafen and then drag the rom to the mednafen program icon but it still would not start

Can someone please make deatailed tutorial exactly where to add the command line, what command lines need to be used where and the likes
