The plasma stage (+ and – balls) is a little tricky though with invisible balls, you can always play the buggy version, get the password and continue on the stable version.
Perhaps the title in the footer should be edited from just BOUND HIGH and add [B1]GCCVB and [B2]VUCC.
Jag har haft BH (och då menar jag inte BH 😉 ) ett tag, kan ju säga att jag längtar efter en korrekt version.
Haha:

And there’s everything nice and neat, thanks RunnerPack – I just won a second VB on eBay for $6 so I guess I could finish my cable while waiting for it. It’s “status unknown” so even if it doesn’t work it’s cheap spare parts. 😉 I’m just hoping noone has been inside it and messed things up.
Crackshot could still upload it to an upload-site or make a torrent out of it or something like that – if he wanted to.
Krisse, your signature links to the old address… 😉
Akumie, killen som skrev första inlägget hade ju laddat upp den ospelbara versionen, som ser snygg ut men där det saknas grejor – fråga honom. 😉
That sounds feasible, so let’s hope we can buy it cheap then…
It will be interesting to see what they come up with, I hope it’s not something fake-3D with just several layers of LCD or something like that…
But what can we hope for, polarized glasses perhaps?
Is that the only pin that differs?
… and the sound pins…
Are there any pinout available for this version of the V.B?
It’s cheaper to buy an eprom programmer and hook it up then…
I’m not the least impressed, others here have done the exact same thing, I don’t understand the problems with the hookup either, the available information is correct as far as I know, my home built eprom rom-cart worked right away and I don’t see how a reader would work any different.
”
Now that the cartridges can be easily dumped you have a chance to replay the titles using an emulator.
”
Yes, or if you have a thing called the internet you can download dumps of almost all commercially released games that the “Retrode” can dump… for almost nothing. 😉

But it looks a little like it could be on a real machine…
Anyway, so there’s currently two people (that we know of) that are working on Bound High in what little spare time they have… How can we support them to make this happen faster?
Which version is this then:
Plasma stage seems to work and there seems to be no glitches…
Any chance we can ask Hideyuki Nakanishi for help?
In the interview Hideyuki mentions a bug that he eventually solved, perhaps the source code is an earlier version where this bug is still present?
If there’s nothing wrong with Hideyuki Nakanishi’s original source code (and if this source code has been forwarded to our gifted programmers unedited) then it should now be possible to use the original compiler to compile a working Bound High!-ISX-file and convert it with the new converters to a fully working game, right?
So… I guess the work continues on the original source code then – and if a completely working version is ever done it will be sold very expensive to the nearest friends of the code-wizard or will it be released publicly?
There might even be a fully working version out there but removing certain elements from it and releasing it small to test the waters so to speak ended up in this mess – so that won’t happen again… ?
There’s one complete on Swedish Tradera now:
http://www.tradera.com/GB-MICRO-SPECIAL-20-ARS-JUBILEUMS-KONSOLL-FAMICOM-EDITION-auktion_300306_109125039
Already €80.
But it has passed the “being cheap window” already I guess.
This guy is selling off his entire collection the next following months so there’s bound to be other interesting stuff, no V.B. though (I think).

I usually need to set the focus before I fotograph, I hold the camera about 10 cm above the V.B. on it’s stand and set the focus on the table, hold the button of the camera and take the shot.
Remember to shut the flash off.
I still like to know what was wrong with it, and how it was played…
… or is it just some member here that made another account and wanted to start a discussion?
