Today i tried it first time and was realy impressed how good it looks and also how funny it was to play.
Im verry excited for new updates with more tracks and Multiplayer mode.
Verr verry cool Game
Realy cool, but i would rename it before its finished that Nintendo dosent cancle it because of Copyrights.. That would be verry sad.. Eventually name it only as “Links Awakening inspired” or something like that. Wozld be verry verry sad if this Project would not be finished
Amazing
Looks realy cool, also cant wait to play it
Thank you for the awesome Work to Team VUE!
Im excited to play the Demo coming Weekend
Would be verry cool if this will become a full Game anyday.
Sounds Awesome i hope that you can finisch it.
Beat Saber with nice VB 3D Effects would make me adicted to play it for hours
Many years ago as i first heard above the Virtual Boy i just whabt it because its a curious thing. As a German Child in 1995 i never noticed about it because it was never released here. Then in 2010 i buyed my first one, not because i know i like it, just i whant it for my collection. Then when i had it i began to love to play with it. The only red Color was never a Problem for me. Some Games like Wario Land or Mario Clash and Teleroboxer or Vertical Force where realy much fun for me to Play.
Then it changes to not “i have it because its corious” to be a lovely thing for me wich i play not all the time but everytime again like old Gameboy Games and so on.
So yes i buyed it because i did not realy know what it is as a curoius thing but then it become an important console for me that i never will miss
Also what i love on the VB is the small but great Hombrew and Fan scene that i learn to know here without Planet VB the VB will not be the same for much of the guys here i think and thats also a great thing.
Also all few years when a whole new Game comes in im realy excited alao if its only a small Game, i hope that will be for much more years like that (or faster releases ).
Oh nice, for $20 i take a range
Yes, a new game line Yans World would be incredible.
$25K isnt that much for it but for a small comunity like the VB one its much.. Verry sad and i think for most is a PC only Version not that important.
Eventually it would be better to advertise it more here and on other retro Boards and then make a Patreon for the VB and PC Version together with the goal to release booth same time.
If they keep this up to date, release Demos for Founder, then i think they can reach fast a monthly Payment that they can develope it a few hours a week or a day (all like the VUE Team do, they make a realy good job with News and Demos i think and its a good Feeling to be a Patreon from them with that money a can Pay for it) and in a few years they can have it finished and also have their 25k
I do it nearly the same way for my two VB’s. And yes it is short lived. It works for arround 6 month because first time i was i bit to careful with the heat. And the second time now it worked for nearly 2 years before it becomes bad again. This time i dose it same as last time but additionally i added a tesa stripe over it for isolation and a verry hard clamping metal clamp that press it down too. We will see if this will work longer or forever
I would also love to get mine soldered but i didnt whant to do it myself and as im from germany i need to finde some one in europe that can solder it.
If the VB still runs under 5V you can use lifepo4 cells as long as the VB dosent run under 4V because the Cut Off from Lifepo4 Cells are 2.01V as absolutely minimum. Best would be 2.5V (per cell) but for the cells its also ok to drain them to arround 2.2V without much lifetime loss. But under 2V the cells will damage itself rappidly. So if the Cut Off from the VB is arround 4-5V you can use 2x Lifepo4 Cells and you are safe without any other Hardware that manage it and you can also use the low battery signal from the VB.
But if the Low Battery show off you did not have much time before its off because everithing under 3V runs verry fast to under 2.5V.
The nominal Voltage is 3.2V and you can charge them up to 3.6V but after charging the Voltage rund fast back to ~3.2V and there it hold it over ~85% of its capaticity and then it will run fast its last 5-10% to under 2.5V.
I would prefer lifepo4 because they have much more lifetime then liion or lipo and they are also much safer because the cant explode.
Verry nice, i hope they will find a way to build them a bit cheaper or that a final cartridge is not more expensive then a spare original one
Yes thats a bit bad that its only a stretch goal, in i also think that $25.000 is hard to fit within a Month on Kickstarter but we will see. if it seems that they can fit this goal for a VB Port i will defenetly jump in and also found as much as i can pay to that time. But if they didnt fit that goal and there will be no VB Port im out because i didnt have huge interest to play it on PC or any other Console then VB. But i hope that they later start a new Crowdfounding Campain only for the VB Port with a goal that our Comunity can reach and then im in or a patreon only for the Work on the Port like Team VUE do it for theyre Game Formula V.
The Game looks realy nice and fun, i think it would be a great Title for the VB.
I hope you can see it but these games i take (most of them are EU or German versions, only the games that are not localized not)
All the games run from a bit slower but good playable to nearly perfect (only sound is in most cases a bit confusing because the VB Sound is not the same as from a Gameboy)

No thats not possible. Or not possible for me, dont know if it is with a flasher. I can list wich games i have on it next days when i have a bit more time. If you have a Flashboy or preordered a Hyperflash32 then you can download the GB Emulator also here and add your own games (but most will not work or unplayable slow, for me it took ~6-8 hours to test all the games who i think i would play on VB and arround 5-6games are run nearly full speed and 8 or 10 otherd run not full speed but good playable , i tested arround 150 games..)
I will list them next few days
Yes its a Homebrew Mario Kart. But sadly there is only a Demo version with some Timetrail Tracks but its fun playing around with it
Same for VB Racing. Sadly that these two games are not in developement anymore because they are booth potentialy realy good playable and a full version would be a dream
The Gameboy Emulator takes me some time to finde some good playable games but we found some that are realy nice playable
Is there also some one in Germany or Europe that solder the ribbon Cables? I have two VB’s that i want to be permanent fixed
At the moment they work great as is but one of them needs all few month to be soft repaired with a hot knife or something else hot and pressed on the glued ribbon that it reglued again but a permanent fix would be better
The other one didnt have any problems but there will also come the time that it also has to be soldered but if there is someone in europe or germany (im from germany but europe is also ok) then he can do both that i had never problems again with that
I would realy like to see a Alleywey or Arkanoid Clone on the Virtual Boy with nice deep 3d Backround
Yes also a Jump and Run Adventure would be realy nice but i think thats to much work, also i think the VB is a great Console for games you dont have to play several hours in a row. Like Formula V seems to be a racer that makes fun for many hours but also you can play it only for 15mins only to makw a few races and have a little fun.
The genere for me is not that important but games that you can play only short time and makes fun and also makes fun to play it 1 or 2 hours in a row. Thats what i think is best for the VB anyway wich genere.
I think with Formula V (i only know the Demo) you show us that you can do this because Formula V semms to be a game that makes also great fun when you play it only short time as also when you play it 1 or 2 horus in a row
Games like that would be great. If it should not be a big projekt like Formula V next time then also only a game (who i think makes not that big Work) like an uprated Alleywey could be a nice to have
When its realy never opened new then i think also $500-600 will be ok for collectors but thag price they listed it is realy much. And that its working also when its brand new you cant say as we know the eyes can also get issues when they never used as when they used its the age that makes the flex issue. So a brand new VB is also a Luck-Box you buy a cat in a sack
