Yes here is a photo of progress, the new foam is charcoal regular. It will be softer and most likely the same foam Nintendo used. Also its 4″ thick which is how it used to be as well. The old foam design I used was 2″ stacked because it was too expensive.

I’ve sent an email to the housing to cut the .50″ foam. My machinery could not cut it because it was too light weight and moved and could not make a clean cut.

Once I hear back, I approve then they ship it and I order some empty boxes.

There will be 10-12 available of blockbuster foam kits. Then I can move onto VB decade case. I can’t guarantee all 3 choices will be there.

not at the moment but I am looking into bringing back blockbuster replacement foam and if it goes well, then I will get this back on the ground

Just tried it with the 128mbit cart and its great,
this has always been on my wishlist

If anyone is interested I still have inventory to build a few more from 6 months ago+

Sweet

virtual Fall next please

I like option 3

Total sold Decade Case:
M1US- 11
M1JP- 5
M1CL- 8

Yup it?s my own take on it with 3 different versions. If you are looking for cartridge case it?s labeled as Virtual Boy 35 Cart Case

No there is no plan to use charcoal foam for a few factors
1. the cost would be raised for customer
2. supply and demand has dropped significantly.
3. Would have to redesign / test dimensions for this new material for proper snug fit.
4. I cut with high pressure water, it might become sloppy cut being 4 inches and harder to stop from moving on table. Charcoal absorbs a lot of water, so it might be more difficult drying and might end up smelling moldy.

Thank you for asking though, its always been something I have thought about.

My foam Characteristics:

Closed-cell, chemically cross-linked structure
Shatterproof
Does not produce dust
Excellent buoyancy
Superb strength and tear resistance
High shock absorption
Impervious to mildew, mold, rot, and bacteria
Superior chemical and grease resistance

small update, just haven’t gotten around to posting

This is the only case iv’e made where I’ve received negative feedback. (Count:2 – both on this one) Occurred from glue issues due to particles falling into the game slots. To fix the issues from a couple individuals I recommended using nail polish to kill any small debris on previous sales.

-This Metal Detail is now used to block glue from entering in the building process.
(this is bottom view of foam so ignore foam quality, its 100% better from above.

– Another metal frame was used so placing the game list decal is more centered. wasn’t requested but I wasn’t happy with free hand.

Thank you community and all positive feedback I have received.

Listing as a lot console, games and case but burrows deeply at bottom of listing that this isn?t an authentic case. You would only notice that the front doesn?t have the window for the sticker among other small details

Unfortunately someone has already bid on it

Used black Blockbuster game-system hard plastic travel/storage case (interior foam has been cut/modified to fit the Virtual Boy, this is not originally a Virtual Boy hard-case)

Adding this to conversation. Stumbled on it on Instagram which I rarely go on.

If any of you purchase these, I also have a handy case for these you can get.

Oh yes I’m very interested in more rare VB items, I was hoping it was rare and unique but rare gem is still a gem so I’m still happy. Hopefully more will show up or another controller with the colorful buttons 🙂
