Welcome! You got the big piece already, a flashcart. Will help you enjoy the really hard to get games and homebrews.
These things don’t need a ton of maintenance. The big one is giving the displays a permanent fix, but you could do that whenever, if it’s working fine for now play it some and think about that when you’re ok with taking a break from it.
Must have accessories are mostly ones people make for themselves =P Carrying cases, dust covers, custom stands, there’s lots that can be done
I’ll see if I can make a little video, just basically record a short camera recorded video on real hardware. Gonna have to get my replacement computer setup for video editing..
Name ideas:
G/VB Rom
VB Romlet (let = “Light or Lite”)
VB eRom (e for emulated)
GeeVBrew (Think GB –> VB HomeBrew)
GVBrew (shortened version, pronounced the same)
VBrew (Ok this idea is just for VB HomeBrew)
VBeBrew (VB emulated HomeBrew)
Nice, one of my favourite VB games! Will definitely be giving this a read.
Edit: Good read! Interesting to hear about the “black box” proto VBs. I didn’t realize the same dude developed ZAS as well..no wonder Red Alarm turned out so good
