Tried it… Street Fighter II on VB! The graphics are spot on, the control is spot on, the music is not as good as you remember from SNES but you recgonize every tune. Hurts my thumb a little bit playing a fighting game with the VBs D-pad, and I’m not a big Street Fighter fan, but there’s no doubt that this is super impressive.
At first I didn’t notice any 3D but then I found the options to enhance the depth and that worked. This is great.
I have a question.. Is the debug mode and the Arena the same thing? If so, why did you remove it, it was pretty cool as a “offline multiplayer with bots”-kind of thing
Waterworld is on ebay for about 60 bucks (so if you buy that over Bioshock Infinite you should get a VB Aficionado medal :P) but prepare to pay out the ass for Jack Bros.. like 300 bucks or more.
PAL and NTSC (america) NES carts are bigger than Famicom (Japan) carts.. but they are smaller and the card itself is more narrow, but theres no difference from one gray NES-cartridge from another.
No, but I know where you can get a boxed copy of Space Squash. It turned up on swedish ebay (called Tradera). The guy accepts international bidders, but you’d have to sign up, I think.
It’s 575 SEK which 90 USD, with probably another 10-15 USD in shipping.
I would just try and clear it.. but my DVD discs only hold 2 hours so I would try to clear it under 2 hours.. but most likely I would need another disc since I’ve never managed under 2 hours before.
Selling your whole collection in one package is probably not the best idea, you’re not going to get many offers, but if you sold each separately you would get tons. If you insist on selling everything, I suggest ebay. People do buy collections for extreme prices there.
Good article, but I still can’t understand why they abandoned the headmount so soon. I mean just because you have a headstrap you don’t have to walk around with it, it just makes it easier playing while leaning back in a chair or on a couch, dammit.
