Morning Star, they also exist in the US and make fake bacon, and other fake meaty products.
Welcome back.
Yeah it does seem to be a little quieter round here this last year or so, but there is life here, (cue star trek ‘but not as we know it’ quote)
I too have kind of neglected my VB, but only in the amount of play it receives, not treatment. But whenever i do hook it up it always saddens me when i have to stop playing, I think cos its so immersive so when you pull your face back out to the full colour world it really is quite a transition whereas the 3DS just gets closed and dropped in my pocket if i need to stop.
Now you got me thinking, I have always been eager for Nintendo to release VB games for the 3DS, but now maybe not, maybe these games will only work well on proper VB hardware, I don’t play using emulators etc, for me personally it has to be with flashboy in hardware, so now i have confused myself, do I want to play VB on 3DS, but thats a question for another topic……….. so back on track, welcome back and enjoy the treats that have surfaced in the time you have been away.
Ace little unit, that is about the only VB ‘collector’ type item I want, does anyone else have one, maybe for sale, maybe for not a vast amount of cash?
Real nice piece to have.
Very nice, shame about the outer surface scratches, is that the one you sent a 3D pic of?
Nice Samus figure too.

Really? and here I thought most people here wanted to help this small VB community not get something rare and release it month laterOk if you tell us you have something rare like faceball, post proof and then say you will release it once people donate the same ammount it cost you to get the game/demo but just keeping it for no reason is just stupid
I mean sure the VB community is small but how do expect new people to come when either games people make are only made as demos then never worked on again or when you get something rare you keep it for years insteadof just saying you have it and asking for money or something
Is this a reaction to my last post? If so, I would read it carefully again, because this doesn’t make much sense if it is meant to be a reaction to my post.
Doesn’t make much sense, needless dig at homebrew games, demos & collectors, now who would post something like that……

Hot sauce:
wish i had seen this a month or so back, i cropped a big pile of chilli’s, set them up to dry but when i checked they all had gone moldy and i had to chuck them, shame cos i had some ace hot Orange Habanero so a sauce from them would have been great, oh well have to get some seeds going again this year and give it another go, I just remembered i also have scotch bonnet seeds to go in this year.

Hey Hedgetrimmer, I remember reading a post of yours where you talked about getting scratches on your 3DS screen. You said to put a cloth or some edges on the screen so it wouldn’t hit the bottom. I was just wondering if you had any particular pads that you used and would recommend ?-Eric
I have had 2 sets of pads on, the second being thicker and spacing the screens farther apart. They were just sticky pads i found here at work, no idea what for but suited my purpose so i used them. They are quite hard rubber and i cut them with a craft knife.
I did a little image of the position i put them in as i found i still got a bit of marking with pads in the corners, so put in new ones to touch the lower screen edge, hope this helps.

Dude that site sucks, bad admin, no help, not what we are used to around these parts.
Streetpass is pretty cool, i don’t get many, think 3 in one go is the most, but i did get one on my drive home last night, i guess someone had one in a car near me, or someone waiting at a bus stop.
Care to share your FC with VB community, mine and a few others are in this post:

I got MK7 and want to do some online with folks i kind of know, but not managed yet, more FC better chance.
its great to hear you are getting so much fun from this ace console and I’m pleased your glitchy lines are intermittent and you can at least play.
I think red alarm is my fav game on the system.

I just tried the download and it doesnt work. Its a shame but hopfully it will get sorted. This is great news though so thanks theforce81, this is very much appreciated.Hedgetrimmer you got anything else hidden away? LOL!
Sorry folks nothing special in my collection anymore.
Top to see this out there now, I’d like to think more will surface but who knows, time will tell.
ah i missed that post about the download not working, i can’t do owt about it right now, on holidays and posting on my 3ds and in-laws pc, not got access to my files. I’ll let force sort it for now, like been said already he’s probably on a break too so i’m sure it can be sorted, unless some how Nintendo monitor us and have managed to corrupt the site so the download don’t work……..will we ever hear from the force again.

Well, consider this to be my contribution to the site, Jojobean sold it to me, or better said, ripped me off on it with Bound High at the time.Enjoy it!
Top job. I was a little worried someone might try that kind of ‘deal’ again, I had the ROM gifted to me a while back, but was asked to keep it quiet, pleased to now see it out there.

I also have suspicion that jojobean may have Faceball (they never said they DIDN’T have access to it, they just said that they didn’t say they did have access to it)
I think if he did someone would have been contacted by email by now with some kind of deal.
I have info that it was tried to be got by raising funds from Bound High roms (before all the recent bound high lovelyness) but I guess that either failed or the person running the fundraising did get lucky but then didn’t share the wealth. Last bit is speculation and just made up by my suspicious mind, but i think its a bit fruitless trying it again, I am happy to be proved wrong and will gladly help out if anything solid comes out of this.
Thats it, that is the machine i wanted and hassled my folks for xmas ’79, but never got. I remember seeing it in the department store and being amazed that it could play lots of different games on one machine. I did have a handheld space shooter thing, but this was the future and I wanted it. Think i got bionic man for that xmas instead.
Oh man I’m now sounding so old, I’ll just go and warm up by the fire a bit more, wait for my medication to start working…….you kids bringing up old memories like that, get me all excited and now I need to sit down.
I got so lucky and been gifted another 3DS, in red, this is a US unit, I got resi mercenaries and bit trip saga, friend code is: 2449 4984 2490
def can’t use US carts in UK unit, same the other way, and also don’t allow download play between the 2, which is a bit rubbish really, how would you settle airport international mario kart disputes if only one person has the game on them…..
I my eagerness to get these done i didn’t check the print material level of detail & my models are too detailed for the material, so i have cancelled the order and will re-submit with better models for that process.
I have also just found another place that does very fine work, 0.028mm layers, so I’ll get a quote and maybe get something from them too with all the detail i need, if the cost is not huge.

Just along these lines I have just ordered a few different 3D printed parts, one of which I will post photos of when they arrive, some time after Dec 13th.
If it all looks good and is strong then i see no reason the Stand clip couldn’t be replicated this way……roll on the 13th (well prob more like the 18th when they get here, will keep y’all posted 🙂

…i never stated that i had access to it. i was speaking generally, as in the fact that it’s not a good game but it’s cool (for aynone) to have access to.
thats a shame, it kinda seemed like you hinted there saying its cool to have access to it, pity it was just a typo, could have been some bucks in it for you, still if you know ‘who’ you could try and persuade them we just want to play the game.
Any ‘new’ not played before game for VB, however crappy it may seem, holds a lot of interest for gamers and collectors.

^this. vb faceball isn’t that great of a game. its just cool to have access to it.
Does ‘having access to it’ mean you get to take it out on weekends to TGI fridays?

…a ‘fake’ space pinball came on ebay a couple of years back for $1500 (i think)…Is the “fake” space pinball the one that I see sitting in Virtualboy [Swe]’s collection?
If so, what does “fake” mean? Can the game not be played?
As far as I know and can remember it was playable but the fake part was that it wasn’t an official Nintendo prototype, it was an eprom cart with the ROM burned to it, now I can’t remember if it was official Nintendo eproms but the consensus was that it wasn’t the real deal, so in a way fake was the wrong word to use as it kind of did what it said on the tin, but not officially.
I don’t know who was trying to sell it but some folks here seemed to know and added to the consensus of an ‘iffy’ cart.
