no preorders, just be quick once it is available. 😉
i just opened the flashboy forum, and moved this thread to it.
ryucheese, don’t you want to sell me your spare games? we can do a deal so you get the flashboy cheaper. everybody else, who has spare games (preferably boxed and in very good condition) is asked as well. pm me. 🙂
some news on that! richard and i have teamed up to sell the flashboy exclusivle on pvb. i will be soldering the cart connectors to the boards he sends me, cut the holes in the cases (for the usb plugs), place the labels, etc and taking the orders/sending the carts. together we can speed up the production process and make the carts a bit cheaper. a price is not yet set since we do not know all our costs yet, but around $90 seem likely.
i have 30 sealed vl baseballs lying around i can sacrifice for the project. when they’re gone we’ll see, maybe people have to send in an spare cart to be modified.
i will hopefully receive one unit next week for a first review. excitement. 🙂
hmm, i guess that’s what the hack is doing. i’d have to do some research on “xoops 2.2 autologin hack” or something to see if these problems are known and if there are solutions….
hmm, the autologin is a hack made by a japanese, so i can not do much about that, i am having some troubles on other computers too. 🙁
i didn’t notice the thing with the flags on the intro screen, but i think it’s cool somehow. 😉 what do you guys think, should i try to fix it or keep it like that?
about the theme thing, you can permanently change your theme on the “edit account” site. i should add a few lines about that to the theme select block…
thanks, fwirt, it’s always good to get feedback about such stuff! 🙂
Weird… yours comes up to a screen when you turn it on? Mine never actually showed anything on the screen.
after some tests, it seems, that the check program only boots if dip switch number 6 is set “on”. looks like i found it by accident. 😛
any idea what the other dip switches might be for? the manual only says that 1 to 4 are used to set the scsi device number, so we have 3 with unknown purpose…
3 useless posts in 5 minutes which would’ve wonderfully fit in a single one. that can be considered spamming. insulting people is not nice either. please stop that.
uh, don’t compare games with hardware or paitings, that doesn’t work. 😀
anyway, if we want to find out if rom releases affect game prices, we should have an eye on ebay and make a chart of prices paid before and after a (potential) rom release. but keep in mind that prices very naturally. for example the $1800 which were paid for gundam in ~2001 are now down to like the half(?). without any rom released.
