Oh yeah top display case, and a well presented collection.

I just lost a bit of time reading your dogs blog on your site, but better do more work now.

In trying to re-publish my Stand Fix kit ad I managed to delete it, doh, but I did have the first ad I put up still there so I have re-published that one.
Got a new batch for sale. Price is the same as before, £7, and various postage costs depending upon where they are to go.
PM me and we’ll sort details.

I’ll take this opportunity to thank all who have bought kits and hope they give you all a long VB gaming lifespan.

Thats great news. I hope we get some Dragon Hopper repro carts soon also 😉

To know a ROM exists would be enough to alleviate & shrink the gapping hole this missing game puts in my reality.

Once more does anyone anywhere know of its existence currently? (cart or ROM)

Oh yeah top job fellas good to see this is back again, and shame on whoever messed it up in the first place, hex on them and all their saved games, may they all be corrupt and fail to load.

Hope you find the VB items you are looking for, I have a good size batch of medallions so if you find need one when you locate a stand just send a PM.
The eye shade is almost a must have, it really helps immerse you into the game, hopefully someone has a spare they will sell you.

I am the one who has the Stand fix kits, but it is only a replacement for the medallion part that holds the legs in place. It is the bit that usually breaks, but it sounds like maybe you don’t have all the parts, can you post a photo of what you have got and I’ll be able to let you know if my fix kit will sort you out.

(there is a mini review on the front page of this site that Chris has done and also an ad in the marketplace with photos)

Regarding adapters I would hand you over over to Bigmak or Benjamin Stevens on the tech desk……
I don’t know a great deal on those so I’ll leave that to someone else, but if I can help you with the stand issues I will give it a go.

That fella is one awesome shirt, top find.

This is a really cool series to keep seeing, like a new episode of a favorite TV show.
The photos are loads better, quite clear now, its real good to see this, I hope you manage to make some more video footage of an equally clear quality.
Thanks Mr G.

3DS: super mario bros 2, collect them gold coins, its a good mario game but hasn’t hooked me like the others did.

Virtual Boy: enjoying some mario clash and bound high

Vectrex (my new addition) : mine storm (also got the 72 in 1 but for now just enjoying vector graphic ‘asteroids’ clone)
very pleased with getting one of these.

That came out rather well, its something I just found out they do that where I work, we have a paint & polishing shop and they dip too. I toyed with getting my ‘spare’ dipped to look like carbon fiber, maybe one day when I am playing around inside it I could take the time to remove the case and get it done.
I like the way yours has been clear coated it really makes it look smart.

Ok so I’m on vacation right now and my girlfriend just left me so I’ve been distracted, but I plan to finish the homebrew video this weekend, for trulies. I got fed up with Adobe Premiere rendering previews for 10 minutes just to play AUDIO, so I said fuck it and I’m now going to edit it at work, in Avid. It’ll be interesting. Anyway I’m back home this friday so I’ll work on it this weekend.
Not sure if anyone cares(until a link is presented), but there it is.

Good to hear you are still up for it even with your current troubles, I hope things get better.
You edit with Avid for a living, that explains why the reviews look so nice, you know what you are doing with the visuals and sound. I do enjoy viewing them even though I never post comments on YouTube (pointless as its full of trolls) but please keep it up, they are the best reviews for VB out there.

Because he is the Tyrion Lannister of the Nintendo family.

Good analogy.

I just noticed that the English text says “Virtual Box” instead of “Virtual Boy”. Would be a cool title for a game though.

Ah now it looks like its wrong but an old internal Nintendo memo was found written by Gunpei where he calls his great invention the Virtual Box, but the big N decided to rename that last bit Boy to bring it in line with the Gameboy, a popular fad at the time….. 😀

Cool to finally see more of this, at least we know for sure a working copy is still out there and you never know the cart owner might one day decide to sell.
Sure its a bit of a tease but its better to know there is a chance rather than like Dragon Hopper, know one (please prove me wrong here) knows if there is still a copy out there.

Thanks for sharing Mr.G and enjoy playing.

Thanks for clearing that up Ben, I hadn’t noticed the reset at the beginning. It would be nice for these to have the official clock time showing, just for comparison purposes as when watching there are times you see a slightly missed jump where another runner could gain a vital second or 2.
Its still a really cool watch, I keep going back and randomly playing a section, just so many time saving things done, OCD type dedication.

Siglemic becomes the first person to get under 1:45 in the speed run.

Thats a cool thing, I just skipped through and saw some amazing stuff, some incredible leaps and all that but….

In another speed run it says a time of 1:46:35 and that is the time Mario touches the last big star from Bowser, but the 1:44:52 he actually touches the big star at 1:45:00.
I guess it all depends when its classed as finishing, is it the moment the text finishes or the moment the star is touched, IMO its when the star is touched.
Not that I am ragging on the fella, an amazing effort and total dedication, but IMO the time is slightly out.
In the usual internet way I have not investigated beyond this and have only compared a couple of speed runs so I am fully up for being shot down in flames into a cauldron of Bowsers boiling blood for not knowing anything about speedruns, but its just something I noticed.

When at work, usually a few times a day (I design stuff in CAD so PC is always on in front of me), not at work a couple of times a week (don’t often go online when at home so its usually on my 3DS).

I have been racking my brain to think of endings I enjoyed and honestly I don’t remember most of them, but one does stick in my head, so maybe not the best ending but it certainly is the most memorable:

House of the Dead Overkill (Wii)

Disturbing, funny, odd, but you definitely won’t forget it if you see it.

Looks good, some higher res pics would be good around the area you have the clamp unit fixed.

I guess the base of that is quite heavy to allow the VB to sit on top and it all not to fall over, or would it tip up if you extend it beyond a certain point?

Nice work and a good find.

Thanks to all who have bought a kit, I have now sold out of the current batch so need to get more made.
Could be a few weeks but I will keep a list if anyone PM’s me and we can sort payment etc once the new batch is ready.

Runnerpack pointed this out to me yesterday, I think it fits this thread as the seller recommends you drill your VB to allow the bit to get to the deep screws, drill it!!! the guy is nuts, he should spend the small amount of bucks and get the bits ground down a little (it takes no time at all for any half decent engineering shop to do) to fit the deep holes.

Personally i have no problem with painting or coating a console, so long as its a decent job and don’t look like its done with correction fluid.

@foil_lone_wolf
, post us some pics of your blue console collection, I’m interested to see them.
