This turned out great! I especially like the idea since I’m fond of the Virtual Boy skin for ROB in Project M. Thank you for sharing!

This update is solid! I recommend this new version even for those who already beat the original.

I think clear cartridge shells would look cool. With that in mind, I don’t suppose a clear red and clear black shell would be possible? You could take that a step further and have let’s say the front shell clear red and back shell in a clear black. I think that would look super cool as it would match the VB colour scheme (notice that front/top part of the VB is red while the bottom/back is black). Not sure how good solid red/black shells would look but I have seen clear red shells and clear black shells in other homebrew communities for consoles like the Vectrex and Atari Jaguar.

Hi. Your game idea sounds interesting and I would like to hear more about it once you make more progress on it. As gdces1984 said, I would recommend joining the discord server (if you haven’t already) as it is the best place to ask questions about VB dev. Good luck on your game!

Hi. I enjoyed playing this game quite a bit. I have quite a few questions so I decided to PM you instead to prevent revealing any spoilers for the game.

Nice job Vintex 64! @Speedyink if I recall correctly, Vintex 64 has had cart connectors in the works but haven’t heard about cart shells until now I guess. I too would like to know more.

I would try contacting Schwanck. He’s made custom VB cases before but not sure if he’s making them right now. More info here: https://www.virtual-boy.com/forums/t/vb-decade-case/#post-1045583

This is great! Also, thanks for explaining the backstory 🙂

Awesome! Can’t wait to try it! Also, looking forward to seeing the game you’re working on 16-Bit!

Yeah it’s too bad. The demo shows a lot of promise. Hopefully, they will be able to return to it after finishing some other projects.

The serial number on my Virtual Boy is: VN100754346. It’s the Canadian version.

Thanks that would be great! I’ll pm you.

Wow there’s so many cool icons here! Nice work!

Congratulations Mirai604! That label is super clean and the 3d effect is really cool! 🙂

Great! I’ll pm you.

Everyone’s labels look awesome! Here’s my entry. Hope it turned out okay.

LOL yeah fair enough.

You are correct. The Japanese boxes do not have those folded flaps/cross folding on the bottom. Also, not just the box but the cartridge and manual are likely repros too. The seller states it is “brand new” which it clearly isn’t with it having a repro box, thus providing no reason to believe that the rest of the contents are genuine.

I believe you’re talking about Formula V? It’s still being developed. They’ve recently released their 8th demo of the game on patreon. For updates on the game you can join the PVB discord and/or follow them on Twitter.

Nice find!
